So how bout we plan a couple of events for this year? It'd be a fun getaway for most of us and I know kansas doesn't have much to wheel so it's something.

It would be a lot easier for you guys (up in KC area) to plan one in a second and just head down there

WOW! i was thinking about posting up a kansas meet and great post and seen this. never been to krrp but known a few guys thats been there. from what they said is its a really nice place with beginners all the way to advance drivers on that coarse. i was actually going to post to see if anyone wants to go out there this spring or summer and get a head count of who all whould be interested but would love to do a meet and great first. i live in kansas city so any where thats about a couple hours drive for me would be great.

heard that tuttle creek is a good place for some offroad action. a guy i worked with use to take his jeep there alot. i know perry lake has some trails but i think its for atv use only but then ive also heard that people take there jeeps out there but not sure on that. just something aheard from a few guys.

Kansas Rocks, SMORR, Disney or Randolph are all pretty good within 3hrs of KC. For light duty wheelin i would suggest K rocks. Go with somone who knows their way around or during one of their events.

Hey guys I just found this thread and am new to Kansas!

I have heard about KS Rocks and was wondering how difficult the trails are because I have a Prerunner and have been trying to get into wheeling a little bit. My build up is no where near being complete and is a slow process. Honestly, should I just wait longer to start wheeling?

Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
stopping back in to say hi. spent 3 months in KC in the late summer/early fall, and made it down to ksrocks a couple of times. great trail system. dirt trails to stick to for the new guys, and plenty of challenging stuff for the experienced and armored folks. good mix of rocks and off-camber stuff on the advanced trails. can't say i made it out of there dent free

Sounds good! Definitely should try to get a group together for the camp and wheel event over Memorial weekend. Three full days of vehicle carnage.

I have a Prerunner and don't have a locker, winch, or skids YET but will in the future. When you say dirt trails for beginners, would I be fine?

Also I wouldn't be able to make a March 8 meet :( its baseball season so pretty busy!

It's worth a shot. Best thing to do is watch some of the videos on youtube that were filmed there. I'd be willing to bet you'll be able to get around the easier ones just fine. When I had my PreRunnner, I made it quite a few places that I probably shouldn't of just with throttle control and choosing the best lines. That and momentum.
