Not that hard, the cutting would be the hardest part. I need to cut off the mounting brackets, weld a flat slab of steel to the back of the sliders, notch out the mounting wall on my truck cab floor, then figure out how to bolt them up. I received instructions from Steve at Sonoran Steel as he did the exact same installation. He says the mounting colts went through the floor with scab plates underneath, but I might see if it would be possible to use the existing bolt holes.

Cool, make sure you have lots of wire and how are the strips going to attach? adhesive strips? You may want to poke around for a mount for the Blue Sea block

How is this for some wiring nightmare? In preparation I tore down my rear wiring and found a lot of issues. It appears that the body shop that worked on it a long time ago ripped the trailer harness off and cross-wired it back up almost at random. Tons of spliced wires running everywhere. A lot of wires simply dead ended and went nowhere. Well now it is completely cleaned up and ready for the new lights. I ended up trashing the old harness, way to many cut wires (I'll get another one soon).

That was only the the trailer harness! Pointless wires everywhere!

Anyone know a way to remove those blue wires splicers? The ones with the blade clamps? There are quite a few I couldn't remove without cutting the main wire harness. For now they are simply cut and taped.

Just use a flathead screwdriver to separate the clamp. Then take needle nose pliers and pull blade straight out.

Does anyone who is coming to the meet have a GoPro with a helmet or a chest mount that I could borrow for a couple of weeks? I want to video a high speed night run down Mt Diablo and maybe another one in the daylight. Hit 44 MPH on my MTB the other day going down in a rainstorm and it was intense. About a week ago I did another one down the south side in light rain and freezing cold in the dark and that was scary good fun.

If you ain't scarin yerself, you ain't goin fast enough.

If you were going DOWNHILL 44mph I wonder how fast I could have gone when I went 39 on YV.

But then again, I wasn't going downhill that fast with rim brakes in the rain, either. Dang you're brave.

Well YV is just a flat out run down the hill, I could probably go even faster there. Hell the speed limit is 45 on that hill IIRC. Yeah the rim brakes in the rain was an interesting experience, nothing like hitting the brakes and nothing happening to sharpen you up. I feathered them most the way down to try to cut down on the wetness between the rims and the pads.
