5100's all around with OME 884 at 0. Weathertechs, Carhartt seat covers. BFG KO2's 265/70/17. T4R SEMA wheels. 18% tint on front windows. General Springs HD 4 leaf pack, Leer 100 XR shell.
I drive a GM product for work. I put 30k on it yearly. Its at 185,000 now and has had 2 transmissions.1 before the warranty expired. 2 front ends, and multiple suspension/miscellaneous repairs including water pump and radiator

I get a new car from them in March and its been a long time coming. The GM has been garbage since 100,000 miles. I dont care what I drive for work as they pay the bills but the GM vehicle has made me question if I would make it home that day many many times

I drove my 2003 taco in bad weather rather than that clunker and will do the same with my 2014. sometimes it just isnt worth it to drive a heap of shit and thats what General Motors built thats sitting in my driveway

Im not impressed with that truck. wouldnt buy one if it was cheaper than the taco i just bought 4 months ago

toytec lift (eibach, bilstein 5100 at 0, Recall springs +Sumo Springs) seat covers, tint, weathertecs, shrokwork sliders, brute force rear bumper, in bed hi lift.
Saw a couple on the road today testing around ann arbor, mi. The stance is all wrong. Tremendous amount of rake and bloated looking. It will take a good bit of front lift to get it sitting right. The stock Tacoma looks more aggressive going down the road. The GM twins will attract casual 1/2 ton buyers, but I don't see it stealing many Tacoma owners.

Most Tacoma owners do not offroad or lift their truck, we here are only a small percentage of Tacoma owners.

Many would prefer a lower riding pickup for easier entry and exit.

Regular here is $1.30/l. Diesel is $1.54/l. This morning's pump price in Eastern Canada. As much as I like the fat diesel torque curve, in order for it to be worth my while, I would need to see at least 25% better fuel economy, as I'm sure they will charge a $2-4000 premium for the diesel option, if what every other manufacturer does is any indication...

The biggest eye sore they have is that low-hanging front valence. I understand it most definitely serves to secure better aerodynamics but it looks like ball sack and reduces ground clearance/approach angle.

Probably just picture angle, but it looks like if you take that thing on a dirt trail and hit a rut, your front plastic will be blown out.

Gas is $1.21/L for 87 octane
    Diesel is $1.38/L

Here on the westcoast of Canada.

I put 91 octane in my truck, which is $1.41/L.

Agreed. But that's why they make aftermarket bumpers.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I don't want to carry the weight of a larger truck, need or want the room. I'd like a Fifth wheel hitch setup to haul a decent size trailer comfortably.

    Some stuff...
I love my wife's Hoe (Tahoe LTZ) and don't think there's a better full-sized SUV out there, including the Toyota Sequoia and Nissan Aramada which we looked at and test drove before pulling the trigger on her Hoe. But as far as mid-sized trucks go, Toyota has the market cornered and I don't think these rigs will lure too many from Tacos IMO.

Been many a thoughts on this. Bottom line is, the Tacoma is still selling. Enough so that its not hurting Toyota. So until the day comes that Tacomas don't sell as well, then that's when the changes will happen. It's business. They are not going to put a ton of money into a complete overhaul if they don't need to. I'm sure it will happen, but unfortunately when it does I'm also sure prices will go up too.

I purchased a 2005 Colorado in July of 2005. I found out that the engine they came out with had issues with the head after I put about 10,000 on it. They gave me a 100,000 mile warranty, nice. Never had a problem with it. Was told that it would cost somewhere around $1500-$3000 to fix it if problems developed. It turned 100,436 miles last weekend when I pulled in at the Toyota dealership. I like the way Colorado looks this year. But, I am not going through with this again with them coming out with a new engine line up. So I drove a 2014 Tacoma Prerunner TSS off the lot Saturday.

I was in Central America again last month and saw a ton of 4wd turbo diesel Hi Lux's and many more Nissan Novara's. Both are turbo diesel and get close to 30 mpg. I need to understand why Toyota won't bring all their diesel versions to the US. Rant over.
