I would change out that leaf pack. You can see how much stress that block is putting on it.

This question is for you & anyone else who has a popping sound after installing these Spindles. Did you combine the spindles with another lift or are you on spindles alone? I'm setting my 5100's @ zero & only have the spindles doing the lifting.

I'll most likely be installing mine in a week or so & this concerns me.

Did you happen to install a new set of UCAs?

It would appear to me the factory leaf packs is the source of the problem. Because they are no longer supporting the truck properly and have literally reversed giving you negative arch, the taper on the block is not doing what it is supposed to be doing and instead adding to the problem by placing additional stress towards the front of the packs. With the stress focused towards the front of the packs the axle is than pivoting back pitching the housing up which is likely shoving drive shaft forward a bit.

Sometimes an easy solution is just installing an AAL to help keep the packs from going negative. If that doesn't work than your best bet is to ditch the packs and blocks all together and do a new set of beefy leaf packs. I always recommend the Dakars as they are well proven and have the over loads which work great at supporting the packs over time.

Very well explained. I'm no expert but I would definitely get new leafs. With my 1" block & 3 LEAF AAL I still have "some" arch but I plan to replace my leaf packs later on this year when $ permits.

I have the spindles as my lift only. Still have stock uca's for now and bullies are set at zero as well.

For right now I have stock uca's. Trying to get a time to install these ome coils and new ucas. Still trying to figure out how to remove those clips that hold the splash guard in without breaking them.

Cool. Good to know thye're working out for you.

Once I install these spindles I'm gonna sell my 885's. They're only about 4 months old.

    Thanks!

Do spindles push out the tires any? Just read that they did and would like to double check. Thanks

Per Maxtracs site it's 0.75" per side. Some have said more, but this is correct based on what I have measured.

3/4 of an inch really isn't a big deal at all, but some people get hung up over this???? The only time it looks a bit much is if people have to run spacers in addition to the spindles because they don't have the correct wheel backpacing.

Yeah i'm currently running 1.5" Spidertrax spacers with mine right now. Would 0.75" be enough to ditch the spacers?

You are probably running 1.25" spacers, this is all they (spidertrax) make for 05+ Tacos if I'm not mistaken.

To clear using the correct width spacer you'll need to know what the backspacing is on the wheels you have now. Than its just a matter of doing the math to equate to the max requirement needed for the spindles to clear.

    Hope this makes sense

You said for tacos.. I'm running 1.5" and have vibes. I bought them off ebay and the guy said they were on a FJ IIRC. Could that be why I have the vibes? I never thought about that..

Tommy is running 5.5" BS wheels, he needs a maximum 4.75" BS to clear his shiny new spindles.

What size spacing will Tommy need to clear his spindles?
    5.5 - 4.75 = ______

NOTE: Clearance is dependent on both accuracy of spacer and push out from spindles. With this in mind Tommy may want to consider 0.25" over the answer above in order to ensure clearance.

After re-reading this I hope i don't sound like a dick because I think I do. Too much coffee has gone to my head

Okay, I have OEM Baja wheels from the rugged trail package. They are 4.5" BS IIRC. So just the spindles up front would be able to clear it with .50 extra over. So that would work?

Okay so.. I fucked up. I have had the vibes since the day I put them on and never thought anything of it. I'll need to buy a set of the 1.25" and that should get rid of my vibes
