I'll shoot you a pic of the dash controls I did on the YJ so you can decide it they're the right ones for you. And if so I will pick it up I ended up using some of the 4-wire trailer light ribbon cable, which worked out awesome. I will also hook you up with lots of pretty electrical tape (pink preferred). You as well Brian!

Well as of right now all we can do is hybrids, since the shop isn't equipped to do all-plate bumpers. Here's the hybrid front being built for CrawlinWJ's Grand Cherokee:

 

That's no hybrid. It's a sexy beast. That's what it is.

 

Speaking of this, I'm doing this exact project this Saturday:

New LR UCA bushings
New LCA bushings
New front hub bearings
New CV axles

Got a machine shop lined up for Saturday to press the bushings and bearings. Then it's off to the alignment shop and I'm all dialed in for the 7th. Only thing left to do is to fab a bracket to mount that new ARB awning where I want it, and I'm ready to roll.

Nice, sounds like lots of work. I still need to figure out a way to get my ARB awning mounted up so I can make some use of it

I have a gameplan for a side mount but I also want to be able to unbolt it from the side (like with large wingnuts) and have a secondary mounting spot along the back. The awning is too wide to have it permanently mounted on the back of my bedrack because it could catch a tree or something when wheeling. I want to transport it mounted to the side and have the option to easily move it to the rear to give me tailgate shade. Side mount is priority, and I'm going to take the factory mount off and fab up something shorter that will fit right up against the RTT. I open my RTT to the passenger side, and want awning shade on the driver's side.

 

Hey Patrick, I was thinking about the driving route to Tucson from Phoenix and I think my best route is up the I-10. Oracle has tons of cops, and there are occasional stops at lights throughout that trip. Drunk Indians, etc etc. I'd like to caravan, but I think the 10 is a more direct route for me since I'll be coming from the northwest side.

We should not have any problems with shade cover where we will be camping in the canyon Patrick

Uniden 520 xl ($52.99) this one has the p.a. you can get the same radio without for like 10 bucks cheaper
4' firestik tunable tip (about 45-50 bucks)

 

Alot of guys run the uniden pro 520xl. I like mine. As long as you get a good brand antenna it's basically which color do you like? Firestik or Wilson are good quality. I've got the wilson flex 4'.

 

Go with the Wilson Silverload antenna
