Never heard of an 884x, but this would work on a 2009 DCSB 4x4 w/ 5100s (at 0) and get me roughly 1.75-2" of lift, right? Just don't want to buy anything and then have it not work.

If this is someone's ad from on here, hope you don't mind me getting you some more exposure, haha.

By the way, just putting out a feeler...if anyone has a OEM leafpack that is still in good shape (obviously the newer the better) that they would be willing to get rid of at a good price, I might be interested. TSB pack is preferred. My stock leafs have 125k on them, and I'm trying to find a pack to add a progressive AAL to. There's one new pack on CL, but the guy wants $700 for the entire OEM suspension, and I don't think he likes to talk price. He's the same guy that tried telling me his OEM Sport wheels and tires were 245/75/16. If that's you on here, not trying to be a dick...but you'd have better luck selling them if you got the size right.

PS - Since I'm asking to buy people's parts, I should publicly apologize to Ost for backing out on a purchase from him previously - I didn't mean to flake out on your shocks, I just didn't know what I was needing/wanting at that point. Hope you don't think I'm a douche, haha. Just decided to go a different route at the last minute. You're a good dude and your prices were good.

I believe for the 5100's coilovers you are only supposed to use stock or eibach springs with the 5100's. And you would want 885X coils for a DCSB from everything that I have ever read about. OME recommends using their strut and spring for a coilover assembly.

People use the OME springs with 5100's all the time here on TW. I've used the eibach and 5100 combo though an I liked it.

I agree that I think the OME shocks would be the absolute best for the OME springs, but I know a lot of people on here run 5100s @ 0" with OME. I would get 885s, but I don't want over 2" of lift, and the OME shocks are a little softer than the Eibachs from what I've read. But I hear what you're saying. I'm trying to do this on a budget (wasn't really planned to be doing all this). I have a line on 4 brand new, in the box 5100s for $300. If that works out, I will probably go this route assuming smoeone can confrim the 884s will give me 1.5-2" of lift on a DCSB. If it doesn't, I'll probably pony up for the Nitrochargers.

Was the Eibach noticably stiffer than stock? I don't offroad past the extent of getting to a campsite, or trailhead, plus whatever I have to get through on the mountains during ski season. So I'm trying to keep as good a ride on the pavement as possible. I've read that the EIbachs were noticably stiffer than the OME, which has me leaning toward OME. My buddy has OME on his Jeep and can't stop talking about how much he loves it.

I had the 5100 set at the 1.75 notch I think and they rode great. I liked the ride better than stock it was not a bad change. I honestly thought it should have come from the factory like that. But I'm running an OME kit now on my runner OME springs and shocks up front. OME springs and 5125 shocks in the rear and I like it too. Both are good products.

That was with the Eibachs? What did that give you, 3.5" lift? Thanks for the info. I'm going either 884x or Eibachs @ 0, with a progressive AAL on a (hopefully) new leaf pack, going for 1.5-2" all around. I also am probably replacing both CVs right now, and I don't want to do anything that's going to risk me having to do that again.

    EDIT: I'm guessing you had 5100s @ 1.75" and then did the Eibachs w/ 5100s @ .85" or 0?

About 3 inches maybe just a little less none of those lifts will put you over 3 inches. I ran 265/75 tires with them at 2.5 and wheel spacers and some trimming you could get 285s.

I'm going to try and find some of the 17 inch FJ 6 spokes so I can keep my 265/70/17 tires and push the wheels out just a little bit. Unfortunately one of my Sport wheels is ruined too, so I'm just using it as an excuse to get some new rims. Might go up to 285s when these tires wear out (if I still have the truck then).

To be honest I don't even remember so no worries on my end. I was trying to sell you trash and you decided against it. Seems like a wise decision to me. :D

This is how mine are set up (less the OME springs) and I think the truck rides better overall and agree this is how the trucks should have come. 1.75" up front and TSB in the rear and it rides the way a light truck should IMO.
