Well, it was a sleepless night. I tossed and turned waiting for the sun to rise, today is the day. At 1 PM EST I will be at the dealer taking the keys to my 2014 DCLB TRD Sport in MGM.

I have been double guessing my choice for weeks but I keep coming back to the Tacoma. Being a fisherman, a boater and a hunter the pickup just makes sense.

To be honest, the internet is a double edged sword. The amount of information is overload, some people LOVE the Taco others pan it. The bottom line for me is, it's a man's truck, tough looking and capable. I am all in. (yes I am talking to myself).

I guess time will tell, but my direct contacts tell me that its THE truck to go with. I have a 45 minute ride home in her and will report back.

Picked up MGM a couple of weeks ago. It's white. It's -15 here today (5F), so it's covered in salt and can't get any decent weather to wash her down. There are 3 tacomas on our cul-de-sac. 3 different colors, but they all look the same now. You cannot tell they're different unless you open the door and look at the sills! MGM really looks dirty quickly. But very nice when shined up! Congrats!

Congrats on the purchase. I absolutely love my MGM. Like was said, they are hard to keep clean, but it just give me an excuse to wash her more often. :bananadance:

Also, post pictures! I remember admiring mine in the dealer lot when signing the papers; that will be about as clean as it will be.

You won't regret it. My decision to buy a Taco was years in the making and I definitely don't regret it. I get a big ol' grin every time I fire it up.

Congrats! Great color choice! I love my MGM. Even with all the salt currently caked on it. Such a great feeling driving home a new truck. I still remember taking her home.

Oh and only 3 more hours to go!

If you're going to be dipping the rear end into water for your boat launch, you may want to do the rear diff breather mod, before you do.

I have a lowly little 1st gen, so I'll probably get scoffed at...

But seriously, welcome to the family. I have driven/experienced the 2nd gen rigs (very nice), and the revamped '12+ style is uber sexy. Enjoy!

I'm back. It was a great afternoon of signing this and signing that.

Then they handed me the keys to her and I was back.

Back in the fold of people who love to bounce just a little bit when they drive, folks who love to sit just a little bit higher, men who love to have an open bed to throw whatever the hell we want to in it.

The truck is comfortable, quiet and powerful. I love it. The Mrs. took it for a spin, giving it the thumbs up. Good to go.
