i am a fan of magnaflows but flowmasters are great too.

i was wondering for the money which is better for sound around 2500rpms to 3000rpms

the 50 series sounds good but seems expensive and the magnas come with the lifetime warrenty. i think that they still do anyway.

I have Magna flow and my truck still sounds like a loud Honda civic.. I tried FLowMaster first.
How the hell do you get rid of the JAPANESE car sound on a V6 4.0?

Magnaflow here. Sounds great. Not ricey at all. At least in my opinion.

    Kind Regards,

Most answers will be bias. There are endless thread on this. Just youtube Tacomas with different exhausts and find out which you like better.

I've had both, although not on a Tacoma, and I like the Magnaflow better. They both sounded good, but the Magnaflow seemed like it was better quality. In fact a baffle inside the Flowmaster broke after about a year in use.

I have listened to all those videos.. Not impressed at all. Every one still sounds like Japanese tuner cars.

I guess if I want the sound of an American V-8, I will just have to buy one...

I love the look of my Taco, but just isn't cutting it for me.. Not enough Oomph..

2010 Ford Raptor SVT coming out soon...

P.S. for a 4.0 V-6... I can't really tow anything more than my 850 pound sand rail and a couple dirt bikes.. Need a toy hauler and Taco's cannot handle that.

Gotta spend MEGA-Bucks on it to get any real HP out of the motor, then the tranny will go out if I do that.. Besides the gas mileage is really bad for such a small truck.. The SVT Raptor gets the same or better mileage..

TOYOTA !!! You gotta get on the stick !!! More HP, less Gas !!! Figure it out ..

hmm... I towed my old man's 23ft walk around just fine. Somewhere near 6200 with gear/fuel/water/trailer. IIRC, the tacoma is just a hair lower in hp/weight ratio then the v8 dakota and we are only given the six.
