I just read through my manual.

By the very definition of what A-TRAC is and does, its use only applies to a 4WD truck. Its not a regional thing, its just not something a 2WD truck can use.

You have Auto LSD, that does basically the same thing as A-TRAC for the rear two wheels. A-TRAC does it for all four.

Down hill control also requires the truck to be in 4Lo. It uses a mix of engine braking and ABS, wouldn't work on a 2WD because engine braking the rear wheels only would just make them lose traction.

You may well have the Hill start assist and not know it. There is no button for it or anything.

There is no button for Hill start assist. It just works when you need it while off road, I believe you have to be in 4wd lo for this also. It is cool when starting on a steep hill and you let your foot off the brake to move over to the throttle and the thing doesn't move back at all.

My son who 4wheels alot in a 89 toyota p/u with big lift, tires etc was pretty impressed what my bone stock TRD OR would do.:D

Oh the only mod I had was, I let some air out of my tires, and I created some ground clearance under the bumper when I tore off my trailer electrical plug.
