Hey guys I want to buy a set of new leaf packs for my Toyota tacoma 2005 trd sport 4 door the old leaf packs are all worn out and flattened out and they keep hitting the bump stops in every dip I want a pair of leaf packs that won't bottom out going over a dip or doing some moderate off-roading and give a good ride also I want some that would keep my truck at stock height. (Already installed billies 5100's in front and 5160 in the rear) :D:)

none of the stiffer packs are going to keep you at the stock height.

    that stated..

    general spring HD packs

    http://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/90-297hd.htm

will get you about 1-1.5 in of lift and be a little stiffer than the stock 3+1leaf pack

But IMO the better option would be to go for the Wheelers HD leaf pack which will get you around 1.5-2in of lift with all 5 leafs... and you can take out the 3rd leaf down (middle leaf) to reduce lift and soften ride if needed... even with the 3rd leaf removed they will be stiffer and handel loads better than the general spring hd packs.

Could the general spring handle heavy loads? And would they handle good on the pavment?

    Getting there...
I just got the OME Dakar pack installed without an overload. Gave a bit under 2" of lift. You also have a shell, so after they settle they'd be less lift. Most people go with Dakars, the Wheeler's pack, and some go with the General springs.

I have the General HD 4 pack springs they are so much better then the stock junk springs they lifted the back of mine about 2 inches then after a while they settled to about 1.5 inches. The ride is a little stiffer then stock 3 leaf packs. They do handle loads better the truck doesn't squat anymore or come close to the bump stops.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Any decent truck spring shop can re-arch and add a leaf for around $350.

Or just buy a proper pack for not much more.

FYI the dakars are a STIF spring and you will probably get closer to 3.5 in of lift

I got mine from a local shop. You can order them from general when you go to order the springs you want there is a tab on the spring screen that will tell you the spec's for the bolts you need. Then there should be another tab toward the bottom of the screen that takes you to the u-bolt page to order.
