I know, more like around $6,000... but I have the same problem as Jeremy. When I build my stuff, I build it right the first time. It has to be perfect. And I put all the best parts on and spend too much $$..lol

A single cab Toyota with a big LS wont work Too much power for a class 2000 leafspringer.
And it handles like shit with a big V-8 in front. (unless your linked of course that's a different story).
And Sam, I talked to Jim Messina about the new rules for class 2000 for SNORE. I don't think they will allow v-8's in the future with certain trucks. They want to keep the class "sportsman" and not turn in to the 1400 class where these guys are $150,000 in there trucks and the guy with the most $$$ wins.
All us class 2000 guys are talking/voting in Primm next weekend to set the permenant rules for the class. So the motor rules will be known soon

im not too surprised by this. The 3vz/5vz has one of the best bore to stroke ratios made. Its damn near a ''race'' spec motor as is. With the tweaking like you did, they scream.

Why didn't you guys try and boost the 3.4L via SC or even a custom turbo??

    Lots of expensive shit
I'm sticking with my 4 cylinder for the new truck and boosting it. 300HP at the wheels all day long. Screw all this V6 and V8 talk. LOL

For smog, they are 100% voluntary. The DCA says you can refuse them if you want.

I have been in both, 2 on I-10 that were voluntary and 1 on I-40, the one on I-40 was also inspecting big rigs as well as a few personal vehicles, and was conducted by both Ca and Feds for both vehicle safety as well as emissions.
