Unless you have had them personally and they fell apart on you, or you had direct experience with them why bother opening your mouth? That tire you posted, is it yours?

I had a tire fail on me very similarly to that. In fact it's pictured below. It was a perfect non re-tread tire. NEW TIRES SUCK THEY'RE GARBAGE!

That's the thing ppl post pics saying stuff is junk however if you air down for off road then take it on the highway and that happens it's different than they just fell apart for no reason. Just check your sources is all. Everything I post is from personal knowledge of my own tires.

So your opinion is based on the fact that you still picture the retreads from to 60s and 70s, or tractor-trailer retreads, and not based on personal experience or fact? I have seen plenty of new tires blow just like the picture above when I worked at Western Auto and Sears. Seems like they have a pretty good track record considering the numerous good comments already in the thread. Can't even tell if that tire in your picture is a Treadwright or what. Perhaps maybe you can interject some actual commentary on something rather than say they are garbage, and nothing else?

Treadwright has a process that is not at all like the way tractor-trailer tires are retreaded. And they offer a good warranty as well on them. If you think $400 is a small amount to get something else, then you are entitled to that opinion. Some of us would like to save that money for mods. The Wardens that I have are a near identical tread pattern as the BFG AT/KO tires. I paid a little over $700 for a set of 5 of the Wardens. The equivalent size tire in BFG would have cost me $1175. That is $475 difference. Not chump change.

Agreed. I have more than 16k on mine. Lots of on and off road use. Including a trip from Orlando to Alabama near Birmingham then to Tampa then home. About 1200 miles in a week with no issues. I love them on the highway . Never had an issue. People who run their mouths about anything without personal experience is full of crap to me.

Troll much? We all here are quite open to debate when there is a conversation and some discussion. Just coming into a thread and saying a product is garbage, without citing a specific cause, then come in and say you won't "entertain" and finally make a claim that you had some, is not exactly a friendly attitude. If you don't like them, and have a specific issue with them, then feel free to come in and talk about it. Sounds to me like you are the one talking about a pissing match. Relax, come in, and have a discussion.

Yeah. I see my point being proven. Troll. I don't put a price on safety either. I said I can buy other things with the money I saved. I have had ZERO customers running Treadwrights have a single complaint. I HAVE however had some name-brand tires blow, similar to the pic you posted, and caused accidents. The question remains, were you running standard retreads, or were you running Treadwright retreads, which use a different process in manufacturing? Perhaps if you could cite SPECIFICS in your complaint more people would be happy to listen.

Second time you said something about cost and someone being cheap. I am MORE than capable of spending the money to buy the BFGs or the like. I CHOSE Treadwright because I did the research on their production methods, and checked their reviews with real customers. Some of them MY customers. Just because someone CHOOSES not to pay a lot of money for a tire doesn't mean they CAN'T pay that much.

Not trying to get anyone to buy anything they aren't comfortable with but I have owned two different sets of treadwright tires. The bfg look alikes I had on my jeep and I had the wardens on a ram 1500. Both sets had 0 issues excellent quality and had excellent tread wear. Now on another truck I had genuine bfg all terrains and had all 4 go out of round. So I wouldn't say that retreads are crap and I wouldn't say that new tires are perfect. It's all up to preference. A lot of vehicles run retreads you would be surprised. Like I said not trying to convince just inform. The treadwright people were very good to deal with also.

Agreed. As I mentioned, Treadwright uses a totally different process on their retreads, and they also do their best to make all of your tires be from a matched core set. (Meaning you can ask for BFG AT/KO core tires and they will if they can)

Why don't you go to another forum and rile up people over there already. You pretty much are not making any friends here.

Careful. I don't agree with him either, but people have been banned for telling other people to leave a thread or the forum.

I wanted to get a set for my 52' M38 last summer, but they were out of the size I wanted. Also had the shop tell me they wouldn't mount retreads. Kind of pissed me off and they lost my business.

I have another 53' M38-A1 I am putting back in the mountains this summer and I will get a set for it. These jeeps are light weekend use and slow (L-Head and T-90 transmission).

I suspect they would also be good for my Taco which sees very little time on Interstates or highspeed situations and is almost exclusively used for putting around the mountains behicnd the cabin on wet/cold days or making beer/gas runs to town.

More reviews on the quality please, but my primary concern would be high speed blowouts, but that is a concern with all tires. I would really like to see Treadwright put out a study comparison regarding blowouts, average speeds and compare against other manufacturers. ould certainly alay concerns if the numbers match the mouth.

Kin-taco. You're a dipshit. All tires have their use. If you want something else then fine. Like others, if these meet my needs I would rather keep the money in my pocket.

If it helps you trust in them a little bit my 1500 that ran them never went off-road and here in texas I have to travel highway everywhere which is at a minimum of 70mph. Never had a problem. Ran the same roads in my 2012 jeep wrangler unlimited with no issues. Take care of them and they will take good care of you.

If you really had any valid points you respond directly to me or bamatoy. But you don't and you are blowing smoke. If you can prove that they are in fact a safety concern more than any other tire out there I will gladly listen. The sad fact is that you can't and you result in trying to insult other members by calling them "cheap" or implying they are "poor." Until you are able to give a valid intelligent opinion, keep them to yourself or be prepared for responses that will argue your opinion.
