I did too, but this year there we can claim our two kids. Last year we had a lump sum of income come in that was taxed heavily so the credit for my daughter was washed and then some. This year we should see the $ from both my daughter and the newer little guy. Not sure how much that is these days, but anything is better than nothing.

Dang, I really killed this thread. Lets change topics...

Anyone here remember when Nancy Kerrigan got flogged by Tonya Harding's BoyToy? That was pretty crazy.
    or
Anyone here not able to go to Moab that might want to start planning a CO wheeling/camping trip starting June 1st or 2nd?
    or
I saw that CL ad for an ARB front bumper for $850. Good deal?

Thread killer!! No I was looking for a place to pick up an ATV trailer. My parents I just found out let one of their friends have mine. Guess that's what I get for leaving it at my parents while I was moving. Anyone know a place?

Also that looks to be a good deal on that bumper. ARB's are heavy duty for sure!

I have had a Warn M800 for the last year but have not had a place to mount it. I toyed with the idea of having wiring run to the front and rear of the truck but did not like the idea of having to find a way to mount a 100lb object to a plastic bed that might need to be accessed while in precarious positions.
I am, just eating lunch and sneaking in some TW
Yeah, I looked and saw that the normal price on a model with the recessed fog cutouts is just over $1100 new. This one is nearly new, with a few rub marks from webbing straps from transporting a kayak. I don't mind a few scuffs, it will definitely be happening after I get it.

Having a winch on a plate to use front or back is really helpful but it does limit you quite a bit. Your pull strength now relies on the pin strength of the hitch mount. I would much prefer to have a solid mounted winch in one place an simply try not to wheel alone.

That is a good price for the deluxe ARB. You can always give it a nice touch up of paint before you install it. The only thing to note on ARB's especially if you want to eventually move to 35" tires - for some reason ARB made the side wrap a rounds come back really far and they are really wide. Quite a few have ended up taking at cutting wheel and removing some of that wrap a round to give the wheel well more space for a bigger tire. Not too hard to do. I have done it on mine and I re-cut Bob's when we cut his fenders for 35's.

Excellent info, thanks. I don't know that I will go to 35s, but then again I also remember saying, when I first got the truck "I just want to do a little light wheeling..." where now, I want to take the DCLB to places nobody thought it could go. I will hopefully be able to get both bumpers done this year and then the front locker done next year, then who knows after that, probably 35s
Eric, do you think that I will need to go up to 886 coils up front when I add a plate bumper of some sort and the winch? It will have synth line on it, not that it makes that much of a difference...

We might ask Bob on that question. He has a fully loaded ARB up front and I am not certain if he is running 885's or 886's. I recently switched to 700lb. Eibach's on the new BOSS coilover's I got from Toytec. They are definitely stiffer but the shock is valved differently and the ride is smooth.

I thought he switched out his 886s. For some reason I remember him posting up somewhere that he had 886s sitting in his garage, I just don't know what his plan was for them. If he isn't planning on using them, and they aren't worn out AND it was recommended that I use those after adding the weight, I was going to ask him if I could buy them from him.

I would go 886. I had the 885's and they sagged when I put the bumper on and that was without a winch.

edit: I had to raise my 5100's to the .85 setting to get back to 2.5" of lift.

I know you were asking the other Eric but for what it's worth I'm running 886s on mine with the pelfreybilt and a winch. Seems just right to me.

I guess I should add that it's stiff enough that I've left the sway bar off and it drives fine without it.

Sounds like we have the answer needed Travis. What Eris says here makes sense.

One other thing to maybe note.... I have a vague recollection of something to the affect that the old eibach springs prematurely wore/sagged and that what you want is the updated ones denoted with an X. ie. 886X

If I'm wrong on this, I'm sure someone will jump in and straighten it out.

To answer your previous post, I was asking anyone who might know and I definitely trust your response.
The the next one, I think the eibach coils are named differently. The 885 and 886 are the OME coils. I guess I will have to start looking for some 886Xs. Damn it, I forget how changing one thing on a 4x4 requires changing 3 more things to make sure it works. C'est la Vie...
