Hm, that's hard to believe, but ok. :)

I'm really surprised you don't rub the UCA's.

3-2.5" lift. The problem is that most people end up with 3" spacers which I do not recommend. Truck will ride like crap, bottom out all the time and you lose wheel travel. It's a retarded idea if you ever take you truck off road, or, say over a speed bump at the mall. A coilover shock ajusted to 3" is ultimately the best choice.

Most 6" drop bracket kits on the market aren't the best quality either. Camburg's 4" spindle will not work for you since you have a transfercase in the front. However, RCD makes a pretty decent 4" drop bracket kit that is a great way to go if you have a 4x4 b/c it relieves stress on the cv joints.

best cheapest lift-bilstein 5100 shocks. 2.5" lift. 285/75 tires with trimming.
    180 for 2 shocks

john you have 285s, not 305s. your tires are 32x11.50s. and with my factory wheels and 3 inch lift and no mud flaps and body mounts notched and alot of trimming i rubbed like hell. explain to me how you did it with no lift.

by the way i have the 6 inch fabtech lift with extended king resi coilovers up front adjusted for 2 more inches and dirt logic rear shocks. still running 285s on fj wheels until i buy 35s. i just bought an 09 yamaha r6 so moneys a little tight right now.

285's are a lot closer to 33's than 32's. Conversion calculator I used said 32.71. Just sayin.

have you ever taken a tape measure to a 285? its actually about 31 inches tall but the metric tire converter i used says its right at a 32. a 305 is a 33 and a 315 is a 35

correct me if im wrong, but 285 is the width of the tire, the height is figured by the wheel size and the ratio of wall height to width. so simply statin that i have 285's doesnt mean a thing unless you put in the rest of the number i.e. 285x17x70 or whatever it is. you could have 285x20x20 (not sure if that is a real tire size but in theory) and that tire would be a 22.89 inch wheel.

Edit: sorry i got the order of number mixed up, should read 285x70x17 not 285x17x70.....damn those are huge wheels

I have a suggestion.... if you have a 4YR OLD AND MONEY IS A LIL TIGHT then how about putting that money for an unneccessary lift into your reserves just in case sh!t hits the fan in this unpredictable economy. Be smart.
