no - the sale isn't yet. But they will be having their badland 12,000k winch for like 300 bucks.

Well i've never had to return anything i've gotten from their store.

When we had the diesel shop we would go there if we needed something quick and cheap and wouldn't need to use a bunch. We bought an air compressor from them for the service truck and it broke the first use, got a replacement, broke a couple months later, and it kept happening. although every time we brought it in they gave us a better model.. Finally gave up.

There were a few other things like that too. Some of the stuff is great though for the price. But its a hit or miss. I swear I practically lived there for a little while lol

Oh gosh! My secrets are out! I don't think the forum would let most of them be posted.

    Oh I'll take him ;)

The big question is what where you doing in my bathroom? haha

It would make a good winch to have on a trailer for loading stuff.

Same here. The only HF item that broke for me was a hi/lo switch on a heat gun which I didn't bother returning. It still works, just only on hi power. Their paint sprayers (the ones you attach to your air compressor) are a hidden gem. Winches look to be pretty solid. For the amount of wrenching I do, their hand tools have held together just fine. I don't make a living with my tools though. Some of their stuff can use a little modification - such as a couple extra parts and hose clamps I added to my dust collector.

The only tool I had a problem with was some ultra cheesy needlenose pliers and their angle grinders. I can burn down their angle grinders stupid easy.

Hey I have one of those too! (mine was for different reasons, motor mount caved in and the engine smashed into the front diff)

Once I get the block out, I think I will clean up a lot of the top-end parts and offer them up for grabs/sale or keep some parts as spares.

Or, maybe try to find a good short block and build this one back up with new cams, crank, pistons and rods. I only had 45k on the engine...would be a fun (expensive, long-term) project :notsure:

I want to keep something as a memento though...or should I say painful reminder.

Technically it was piss cooled that day. It overheated to the point the engine just shut off (driving too fast to notice gauges). I noticed the overflow was empty, and so was the radiator and oilpan. I had a spare quart of oil. We were 40 miles from pavement. After pouring all the water we had in the radiator, that left one choice.

    Zzip.

    I got home though!

That ...or pen holders. I just quit smoking a few weeks ago, and my "shop" consists of a small 2-car garage :)

Was thinking about a small end-table with the crank, possibly a coffee table or wine-bottle holder with the block, but both of those options are pretty ambitious.
