I don't get how a metal detecting signal just goes away. They need to drain that part of the swamp asap...and what the heck..no info on season 2?

 

This season was supposed to have another episode, but that didn't happen. Ratings and reviews have been solid enough for another season, so the order will probably come soon.

They definitely need to drain that part of the swamp. They'll probably have a much better plan of attack come warm weather.

 

Is there a 5th episode? It's not on demand yet if there is...

I can't believe there isn't any more after this! It was just enough to bait us in and really get us interested.

 

^^ Like I said, supposed to be one more, but it got cut short. The ground is frozen solid now, and the gang has to get their ducks in a row to solving this. They're really hoping not to have to freeze the ground around the MP and dig a massive hole during the summer. This show may have another 2 seasons in it.

 

I've been intrigued by the findings so far. There's got to be more to this island than what we've seen.

What do you guys think about the stones? Do you think they actually lead to something or are they stones that just happened to be there and be flat on one side?

 

The pattern matches - that would be a hell of a coincidence for nature to drop them like that. I'd like to see a more precise measurement of the placement...

Look into Petter's documentary on searching for the Mercy Point. I believe he had gps when he first went there, and the same location was where they looked. They couldn't drain that area because it's almost impossible to get the pump close to that location. I heard Nolan had found some coins there, too, but he hasn't shared anything with Blankenship due to the everlasting feud. lol

There has to be something in that swamp. Maybe an entrance to the MP. The designers had to have dug air shafts along the line, too, so the saves wouldn't die. Folks have said the geology lends to electronics crapping out, but those rocks may be of importance. Hopefully not remnants of the last Ice Age.

Ya'll making a trip there soon, and bringing a shovel?

 

They posted these pics today on their facebook page mowing down vegetation in the frozen swap..come on season 2!..or should I say..come on summer!

 

My question is, whatever happened with the DNA testing on the bones and stuff and whatever happened to that horn or whatever you call it that they found sticking out of the ground at the shoreline?!

2nd season has already semi-started to film. They're staffing up right now, and will begin in May.

Unsure about the bones, but the "horn" in the shoreline was most likely part of the old coffer damns that the guys never noticed before. Should still be there - it was solidly stuck.

 

Saw a commercial today. Season 2 starts November 4th!

 

I saw a short story about this in some mystery documentary a while ago, then when season 1 started i tried to keep up with it then ended up forgetting about it, i definitely want to keep up on season 2.
One thing i think that would come into play if they actually find something of great monetary value or historical value would be the government or any other groups trying to swoop in to claim ownership.
