Hey, you'd be hatin' too if you were stuck working while I was bragging about a 4-day weekend!

Besides, it's just me expressing my jealousy with middle fingers.

I think you'll actually be alright. There was very little traffic on the way in today so the commute home shouldn't be terrible.

I learned how to drive on a '57 Ford 600 tractor.

That photo's courtesy of El Google, but my dad restored it in '86, so when I was learning to drive it it looked pretty much exactly like that one, except that it had a loader on the front.
No power steering or brakes, and no syncromesh gear box.

Nice old tractor! I bet that thing would be worth some serious money today if you had one in that condition.

In the condition it's in now it's probably worth $5-7K. The restore was nearly 30 years ago, after all, and it's been used on their farm since then, so it's accumulated some scratches and the paint has faded a bit. Still runs great, though.

Really glad I did the ECGS bushing install when I did (~57k miles). While I was under there I noticed a good amount of oil under the engine. Took it in and they replaced the oil pan seal....couple months later when I went to do the oil I noticed even more oil.

I'm now over the 60k threshold and brought it in and told them it's still leaking. They think it's the rear main seal! Damn good thing they are going to cover it, as this sh!t looks expensive.

I need to get this done in the spring, it's driving me nuts.

Also, can anyone verify if there is a 30k service interval? I've read front and rear diff oil change, stuff like that.

Shrug. Jealous of the skiing, not jealous of the tab, haha!

I'm headed to Crochester NH this weekend to visit some old friends I haven't seen in a couple months. They had their first kid this summer, so I've gotta visit my honorary nephew on a regular basis, too.
