That smell lingers forever. I was studying with a couple of people last night and one of the guys smoked Reds, shit was strong

My bet is on Houston Refining, owned by LyondellBassel. Crown is now PRSI (Petrobras), who has done a hell of a lot for the place, especially since when I went there in the early 2000's it was easily the worst place you could possibly imagine to work. Then again, Petrobras burned up their small-ass Coker, so who knows what they're doing.

The place I'm at started operations in 1908. That's a looooong time to be operating. Marathon TRD isn't much younger.

I'm not buying another boat for a very long time lol. My Yammi does just fine and it's been very good to me.

I have some friends who work for LyondellBassel as well; when they went through their bankruptcy things were pretty bad over there as everyone was ringfenced and raises were frozen for two or so years. Layoffs & resignations were pretty severe as well. Ever since then though they really seem to have gotten their affairs in order. Granted the ethylene market has really skyrocketed which has helped them immensely, but from what I've heard, internally it's a much better company. They're also building the largest olefins plant in Channelview in terms of throughput IIRC. Going to be a nice state of the art unit.
