Nope, won't work, 5100's can be used with any kind of spacer or leveling kit. Not sure why, but it's been asked and answered in the suspension section before.

If you want a full 3", just buy the Toytec 3" with OME coils. Its only $49 more than all four 5100s.

its highly recomended that you not use any spacers with the 5100's unless they are set at stock height

Ya but if its on top of the strut wouldn't it not affect the bilsteins? I don't know a LOT about suspension but to me since its not in the strut it really has nothing to do with the 5100's?

i dont know why but you're not suppose to use any type of lift with the 5100's. you can do it ifyou want but you could have some problems. why not just get a 3 inch lift?

I've understood that the 5100's are for non lifted or not more than 2". As in TSB in rear and up to the 2.5" in the front to level it out?

they should definitely work in that case then. but the billy 5100 series are for lifted trucks....thats why there is an adjustment for the fronts...........or so i thought.

You shouldn't put spacers ontop the coil assembly because you're lowering the entire suspension which can cause your steering knuckle to come in contact with the coil assembly since the upper a-arm is sitting much lower.

The whole point with putting spacers INSIDE the coil pak (not the 5100's) is to keep the upper A-arm in the stock location.

Adjustments are generally to compensate for drooping and to maintain ride height before getting getting the shock rebuilt. 5100s are usually used to level out a TSB in the rear. If you're trying to get a 3" lift think about what you need it for and either snag a $300 spacer lift for show or go all out and piece together your off-road suspension parts. You're barking up the wrong tree right now. Adjust fire.

Kinda mixed on Bilsteins web sight. States they are for lifted trucks and then shows lift as 0-1" in rear and 0-2.5" in the front.
The front is only because of the adjustable collar changing the preload of the spring, gaining lift.
    http://www.bilstein.com/offroad_5100pre.php

On another page they show product in development for Tacoma's with lift of 4" in the rear and the same part # as above for up to 6" in the front?

In the notes this lift is gained using spacer kits?

So my truck is at the shop for the suspension TSB. I wished I had looked into a leveling kit before it went in, but I was too busy. So should I tell the dealer to adjust them accordingly or can I adjust them myself after the install is done? I guess I would want them to be at 2" to level right? Or would I just go the max? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Tell the dealer to adjust what accordingly? The dealer is not installing 5100's, just the upgraded Bilsteins (on most) and a 4 leaf pack in lieu of the 3 leaf pack.

Oh I got ya. Sorry I was under the impression they were the 5100's. So the toyotech leveling kit is what I should look at then ?
