Guiness is kind of chocolatey. Coors tastes like piss.

Bear on the other hand is very similar to pork. The last one I killed I made bratwurst and a couple roasts and it is delicious. Bear fat tastes kind of rank, so you have to trim it all off before you cook it. The cool thing is you can render the fat to make the best boot grease on earth. My aunt also uses the fat to make pie crusts with and they are yummy.

Mountain lion is the best meat I have ever eaten. Zero fat, and it fries up white. Some people have an aversion to eating predators but I don't know why. Predators do not have an aversion to eating you.

I've heard late spring black bear is delicious. Once they fatten up a little on berries.

Yes, but their hides are weird in the spring. They rub patches of fur off during hibernation. Better hides are from fall bears. I got this one when I was 12.

    Wut?

I don't own a gun myself. So I'm forced to tape up the knuckles and challenge the squirrel to fight. Scrappy little fuckers, and they fight dirty. One even talked shit about my mom. I kicked that furry fuckers ass!

    Cool, thanks for the reply.

    What about bear jerky?

Now I want to try Mountain Lion after your comment.

fair enough, we have our share of trolls and ID-10-T problems here too.

btw long guns are available and common here..its the handguns, and automatic weapons that have major restrictions on them.

Hunters don't eat bear meat unless they have to, it's right below beaver tail on the scale of good eating.

Really, this is true. Living in Middle Tennessee I'm not around bear hunters so I don't have knowledge of this. Do they donate the meat to an organization like Hunters for the Hungry that help feed the homeless?

Ha. You Coloradans are funny. In Oregon Beaver is a delicacy, and bear is highly regarded as well. My favorite is lion closely followed by Elk backstrap, but hey, what do I know.
No, I used a 45-70 for the one on the wall. This is the one I killed with the recurve last year.

Nobody that I'm aware of hauls a bear carcass back to camp to eat. The carcass can be used to feed the dogs that hunt it down and tree it.

I have nothing against hunting. But wasting the meat is fucking retarded.

I've never understood the whole trophy hunting shit either. Killing animals just for the thrill of the hunt is pretty pointless to me. Now if you went out bare handed and took down a 300 lb. black bear and wanted it on your wall, ok. The "challenge" of hunting with dogs, treeing a bear and shooting it.....:notsure:
