Okay, I'm looking at roof racks and possibly an all-pro pack rack, and I'm interested in some lights (40" bar for the front, 2 floods for the back) and I know absolutely nothing about LEDs.

Looking at the online catalog, I guess I'm talking about a 40" E or E2, or possibly a SR/SR2 depending on height. Is that the key difference, and how do they differ I price? I need low profile due to this being a garage vehicle (need to get the roof rack measurements and measure the garage door entry).

For the rear, I have no idea what makes the most sense or what the differences are in D, SRQ/SRQ2 and SRM other than shape.

Don't worry Ben will school you... He will get you educated and give you a great price. He's my only LED guy.

Okay, so heres where we start, if this is phase 1 for your lighting setup I'm gona steer you away from anything with hyperspot, so all the E2 and SR2 bars with those. Reason being is those lights really reach out and touch stuff, without fill light up front you won't appreciate the reach as much. An E-series combo is the most effective light forward facing, thats going to give you great depth of field, as well as fill most of the immediate area. So you're good there. Overall height of a double row bar is just over 3" iirc, so depending on which rack you get, and how you mount it will determine if you still make it in the garage.

If you need lower profile, the SR (single row) is half the height. So if you're that tight, you may consider that as well.

As for the rear, the backup light kits are great, user friendly install and high output lights, the different series' of lights applies to the shape and beam pattern. For instance, you can't get a Dually in the driving pattern, but you can get a D2 in that one. Anything with a 2 in the product ID will have the new beam patterns (hyperspot and combo w/hyperspot/driving), so look for those distinctions. Basically, find the shape that fits where you want to mount them, then find the beam that most meets the needs of that location.

Most backup lights I recommend the diffused as it throws light everywhere. You want a good scatter when backing up.
And proud to represent you paul!

Thanks, that's definitely helpful. I'm thinking about this rack from Zach, or possibly a Pelfreybilt, depending on height. I need to measure my garage entrance and estimate space for lift and tires. We have a lifted Xterra w/roof rack + hi lift that can't even make it through the parking garage at the airport so I want to avoid that with the Taco if possible.

Ben, looked through the catalog again and not totally sure what you mean by the "back up" lights. That being said, what price range are we talking for a 40" E-series combo and two back up lights (w/diffuser)?
