I saw this lonely neglected lil fella on a street in NYC when I was up there for work recently. Abandoned. Neglected. Ignored. What a shame.

Anyone else have other examples of Sad Panda Tacomas?

Damn that tiger Taco wouldn't look so bad if it didn't have the tiger and other graphics all over it. Gotta love the "Old School Continental Package" on it though. Where's the Curb Feelers???

I guess I don't understand.... It's just a Tacoma sitting on the street with a little snow on the top?

What makes you think that truck is abandoned. Looks like it's just parked to me. Mine is like that 22 of 24 hours per day.

Actually, it looks like it has been there a while. No tracks over the snow mound, so there before the snow, and it looks like the snow is several days old at least.

    Still, not abandoned.

You're all making assumptions. He could have backed in there from a full parking spot ahead, or from behind. I know that's an assumption too, but it errs on the side of statistical probability, which is 99% probability that this vehicle is not abandoned.

I said "It is not abandoned". But it clearly has been there a few days. In addition to the evidence I cited earlier, there is snow on the windsheild. It was there before it snowed, and it looks like the snow has been a few days at least.

Still, maybe, the owner lives upstairs in that building and is in Hawaii or something. I see no evidence of abandonment, and I don't think the OP really meant that it was permanently abandoned.

We're all great detectives!! I say the owner is a male, 25 to 34 years old, and walks with a limp. No children over 3 years old (access cab), sells drugs (tinted front windows). I have changed my status to agree with the OP that the truck is abandoned. Owner was struck down in the background apartment building over a drug deal gone bad - at least 3 days ago. Anyone refute this?

Can't say. Don't know. But one thing I do know, it hasn't moved for a couple days at least.

The power of reason is generally seen as a good thing. The inability to draw conclusions from evident facts is generally seen as a weakness.

    Reasoning:
    1. the act or process of a person who reasons.
    2. the process of forming conclusions, judgments, or inferences from facts or premises.
    3. the reasons, arguments, proofs, etc., resulting from this process.

Of course, Sherlock Holmes and Great Canadian take the whole process too far and infer things that can't be supported by facts in evidence. That is why I never liked Sherlock Holmes.

its a major city, people don't use cars there. the dude found a good parking spot and wasn't giving it up.

My sister lets her car sit all the time, and when she gets a spot in front of her building, it takes a serious emergency to get her to move it.
