Solution?

It works like a charm every single time when I open the door with snow on the rooftop. There are times I get piles of snow on he driver seat if the snow piles up real thick on the roof. I have tried using my hand to push the snow off before open the door but I only do that when I have my gloves on. A business idea for someone?

get a snow brush!!!

or just use your damn hand/arm and wipe it off enough to open the door and it wont fall in. than if you have a lot of snow take the snow brush and clean it all off so it dose not flay off and hit other people driving. I just brush it off get the snow brush, start the truck clean all the snow off while the truck is warming up and depending on how cold it is truck is ready to go by the time i’m done cleaning hood and roof off.

Yeah no, it's not just you. It drives me up the flipping wall!

 

I use a big push broom to clear off the truck before I get in. It's the green one from home depot that has soft brushes so it doesn't scratch the truck, takes me less then a minute to clear the entire truck off.

 

In canada we have these incredible things called a snow brush. It takes a little manual effort but it will solve your issue.

 

Can't believe I wasted my time on this post. Seriously.

Just put your scraper/brush on the passenger side and open that first

I come from the land of ice and snow and tried the hydrophobic solution above the door sills . Only lasts for a short period before you have to re-apply the stuff .
Even with the rain visors ,De-icer boots are the only remedy .

 

I'd rather have that clean snow in there instead of that turd stained floor mat.

BTW, use the arm of your jacket to brush the snow off the seams of the door, then use the brush/ice scrapper you should keep in your truck for the rest of it.
