I love my 'roo but I wouldn't leave it on 24/7, mine faded pretty quick from the sun. That was SoCal tho, if sun fading isn't an issue for you then I wouldn't worry about it.

 

haha im not too worried about the sun fade but i just love having a little waterproof thing i can just throw random stuff in if its going to rain or whatever..

 

True or some recycle happy hippy driving a Prius. It's reusable and does not fill up landfills. Therefore.... must have!

 

the funny part is i highly doubt ill ever use it to actually haul trash. its best use for me is going to be hauling wood to the camp and keeping it dry.

 

Thats what I use mine for.... but if I had two...... then I would have trash in one

 

I love my ROO so much I dont even use it for trash. It works as a good luggage bag for my trips

 

I would like to see/hear ideas for utilizing back seat areas for DC storage. Maybe take seats out all together and build platform.

That's what I do on trips where I don't need a back seat. I pull the seats and use a platform I built that uses the bolt holes for the seat.


I don't need the straps anymore to hold the fridge. I'm using a Engel Transit Lock.

 

Don't have any pictures of it at the moment but I just fold rear seats down and forward on the passenger side and my fridge fits well sitting on top of the under seat storage bins. I could gain more storage space by removing the seat but this way if we happen to pick more passengers at our destination we can put the fridge in the bed and have two more seats to use.

 

Here is mine. I am still able to remove the platforms and have access to the compartments underneath

Yes 2 14mm bolts per seat bottom and the same for the back rest

 

Awesome, what did you use to make those? I camp all the time it feels like and that would be an awesome mod just for the trips.

 

I used plywood and covered it with a roll of carpet that they sell in the automotive department at Walmart. It took me a while to figure it out since I did not want to lose access to the bins under the seats. I mainly use the driver side bin. I have been thinking about changing it around though

 

Seems pretty simple. Yeah I use the bins, that why I havent really looked into this mod yet. Btu that is so simple it might just work.

 

Boxrocket- last time I saw, you had your fridge mounted in the box. No more?

 

Not sure if he posts over here (I did a quick search but couldn't find him), but a knife maker I follow (Munroe Knives) on a blade forum did this to his Taco. I plan on doing the same to mine eventually...







Super simple to swap with your passenger seat and I love the molle pack layout possibilities.
