    I have plenty of sidewall cuts on my KM2's but the rubber is just aesthetic. Not even a layer as far as side wall is concerned. I think everyone gets lucky or they dont. Becuse my driving style says, no tires will make it out alive but here we are 40K+ later.

    My cuts are bad. We were checking them out one day and if they aren't through 2 of the 3 layers they are close...

    And with my current rate of treadwear I'll be lucky to get 30K miles out of mine. But again it's the rocks around here. They literally took chunks out of the lugs of my brand new one the 1st day out with it.

    You have MTR's, you'll be fine! My KM2's have mostly held up to many trips up to Hell's. If they can do it your MTR's can :D

    Though I imagine you plan on selling them right after Moab so best to keep them uncut. haha

    Pizza cutters are better for everything except the look. And fuck yeah, I'll have a skinnier tire to get acceleration back and what not. There is nothing in az that would require me to need wide tires but again I say, chicks dig them.

    With the Arizona catch you are good, but there is one place wide tires out perform skinnies for sure and that is in deep snow and when I say deep i mean so deep you have to stay on top to keep from being high centered. Skinny tires won't stay on top as well as wides, though this involves running low enough psi that you want/need beadlocks.

    If the snow isnt that deep skinnies will dig down better to grab the earth below for better traction as well as having a narrower track so they aren't pushing as much snow either.

    I hear ya. I have loved the way the skinnies performed and the price was right (5 km2s used but only 1000mi for $700). Besides I built my truck with function over form. My front bumper is neither functional or flattering in form, that is why I just bought the arb. Not the coolest, looks-wise, but I will be able to mount my winch and have headlight protection AND it will look better than what mine does now.
