Ours has been good (stock except 4'' turbo back, no cats, only issues were we burned through a few turbos because we didn't know to let it idle before shutoff), but when we move to MS we're doing a EGR delete, light tune, and maybe a multi-gauge

I had a 7.3 with a turbo back no cats. Buddy has a 6.0, not bad once the head bolts were replaced. My 7.3 out pulled his 6.0 but his clutch was way nicer to push in than mine.

I liked our old 7.3, stock except for a chip, my grandpas is stock and it's a dog without the chip, it feels like the E brake is set when you're not on it.

6.7 cummins baby! Full deletes and straight pipes. Bitch pulled 22 mpg at 95 mph heading to Vegas. 4 people in the truck to verify the math. I've lined up to a 7.3 on the highway and they get me in the long run but takeoff goes to the cummins.

Cummins will grunt fosho. My 7.3 did pretty good off the line. I good barely shift fast enough, but it wasn't a cummins in power or mpg.

Cummins makes the best small diesels hands down. The old 5.9 is probably the best motor ever made.
My old man is retiring his old 12v Cummins with Allison trans he has in his Freightliner due to Cali regulations on commercial trucks. I'm am just rolling ideas around in my head about what I can do with it.

I'd love to have a 7.3, International made one hell of a motor for Ford. Unfortunately those transmissions cant handle it and you end up spending an ass load of money for an overhaul or go through 4-5 relatively speaking (without a tuner and use it to haul tractor equipment).

Come to think of it all Ford has is a 9", TTB, and Dana 35-44 spindles which l think credit goes to Spicer for that right?

Commercial trucks are running out of time. 2015 is the cutoff. Either get new motor or add the 10k filter bullshit. They are not making one for the old cummins so it has to retire.
Rumor mill is they want the light duty trucks too but can't get them grouped in with the commercial ones so another revision to the fuel is in he works so all diesels 2005 and under range that were designed to run on #1 diesel won't run at all on the new Cali diesel.

Well Tyler if you need any info, my uncle is licensed with the California Air Resource Board (CARB) which is responsible for taking care of the emissions upgrades, and paper work to make commercial vehicles smog legal.
