So my tacoma is my first foreign car and so far I am loving it. my wife has a 2013 chevy traverse LT loaded up. I am really considering getting a 2014 4 runner to replace it however I need the 3rd row seating because I have kids. which is why we chose the traverse. I am just wondering if all the tacoma guys also have other yotas in the household?

    2004 4Runner.

All were extremely reliable but the 4runners definately stole my heart. My 2004 V8 was my favorite car of all time.

If you need a 3rd row, check out the Lexus GX460/470. Insanely nice vehicle, i would choose it over any other 7 seater.

biggest reason I had the chevy was that I traded in my ctsv coupe at the same dealer i bought it at which was also a chevy dealer. but when it came time to buy a truck the salesman i bought my 70k caddi from said he couldnt budge on price for a silverado z71 so i said adios and looked into the toyotas.

I've never owned a 4 runner. 2 tacomas and 2 Toyota pickups. Very reliable and long lasting. I've checked out the 4 runners at the dealerships. Very nice!

2006 Solara convertible that is probably worth almost as much now as what we paid for it because Tonka stopped making the Solara Convertible and it is a very wanted heap.

I'm driving my first Toyota. In the past, a couple of chevys, a couple of VW's, a couple of Hondas. My wife currently drives a '12 MDX. I wish I could buy a Tacoma with that level of interior gadgetry...

You're talking about an Acura MDX? I agree the Acura's have a very solid interior. My wife has a TSX. Very nice and great quality, but they are luxury vehicles. Tacomas are utility pickup trucks. My opinion is the TRD has a very nice interior. But every person has their own opinion.

I use to be a huge ford guy and hated toyota's but ended up switching jobs to a toyota dealer and within a year and a half I now own a 2009 taco as far as their other cars same quality as the taco

New 4Runners have 3rd row seating.

We had a 2011 Camry that we leased. It was a great car. Didn't see eye to eye with dealer, so ended up with Accord Sport.

I'm on my 2nd Tacoma, no problems with either. I had a 2005 Carolla that was my work commuter vehicle. It had 245K when I sold it and ran like a top. My dad has owned two Camrys. His first one he put over 400k on before he sold it. I think it was a 1993 or 94 model.

    Prius' are gay!!!

I am probably in my last toyota they are not what they used to be imho.

1993 tercel was great sold at just under 200,000 miles.
2 timing belts, 2 water pumps 1 clutch and routine wear items.

2009 corolla had the entire dash pulled out for hvac problem
Tires and front pads under 20,000 miles
Would not start and had to be towed around 30,000 miles ecm flash
    New battery at 40,000 miles
    Water pump at 49,000 miles
Crappy interior, paint scratches just looking at it.
    Tail lights blowing
Currently at 52,000 miles and doesnt feel like it will make 100,000 miles

2012 tacoma at 21,000 miles transmision surging at 40mph dealer says its normal. Noisy thirsty engine. Average interior front seats look wore out.
Added ome lift kit which fixed the sloppy handling. No heated mirrors, inside windshield freezes up, chipped plastic bed. Boderline expensive for what it is.

I am driving my old 95 3/4 ton gmc reg cab lb more and more the tacoma has done alot of sitting recently.

Heated mirrors yeah but seriously every car has its issues and if you don't like your Tacoma get rid of it instead of bitching about it.

I wouldnt call it bitching I have been driving it since nov 2011 if I hated it I would have dumped it by now.

I will admit I am 50/50 about keeping it and putting 500k on it or trading it for a honda accord. I have another truck if i need it.

One nice thing they hold value like no other i could trade and put $5000 back in my pocket.

My '13 Access Cab is my first Toyota pickup, but my wife is on her 2nd Camry Hybrid, a 2012 model. We're very happy with our Toyota's.
