Just like the title says. What have you got planned for you and your favorite Taco when Spring finally shows up?
Personally, I purchased mine used pretty recently...so my plans include a full working over of all the niggly bits that people forget. Gonna lube up the driveshaft, change the diff oil, and probably the gear oil in the tranny too.
I heard from a buddy of mine that better quality gear oil could help soften the clunky travel from 1st to 2nd, so I'm gonna give that a shot.
My biggest project however...I think will be getting the engine bay cleaned up. It's not terrible inside but a lot of the pipe fittings are rustier than my old 06 Ford was.
Of course, I can't understate my favorite plan of them all, and that's finding some mud to play around in! :D

My plans for the spring? Out with the old, in with the new! As a truck that gets used for work every day, and gets paid for it, 90k miles is as much as I care to put on it. There is still 30k of ECP warranty on it, so the resale value is still pretty good, so I'm leaning on a new AC V6 SR5, Magnetic Grey. Will strip my '11 and give the stuff to the new one (Tonneau cover, Weathertechs, Ram-style towing mirrors, radios, driving lights, etc).

Can't argue with that. I'm really hoping to make this truck last as long as possible, but when the time comes to upgrade, I'm pretty sure it'll be another Tacoma. :D

I won't be seeing mine until late summer, but I'm going to ask my folks who are taking care of her to give her a good bath and wax in the spring. Then when I get home in August, I have a long list of toys that will be ordered and installed. :D

Too poor to list anything interesting.
A trip to an off road ranch (TORR) and beach are in order. Plus, I'll get to use my truck to haul my team's Lemons car around.

Build wise? Fuse panel install, some fog lights, and hardwire the CB radio.

Yes. This is my first time on a team like this. I've offered to help work on the car, tow it around, & brew beer for the meetings. Gotta have that inspiration.

That's awesome man! My buddy and I have been talking about entering this old Toyo Pickup that he and I bought this past winter for 300 bucks. You'll have to keep me posted on how things go this year, I'd love to hear some insider info. :p

A full detail is in the works for mine once the roads quit getting salted! Hasn't had anything more than normal hand washes in the last six years. It is long over due for a bit of paint correction and a fresh coat of wax!

I will also be pushing the 5100's to 2.5" and putting the AAL back in the rear! New bigger tires possibly in before fall! And new front brake pads as well! I'll have about 75k miles on the originals and they are getting pretty thin.

Sounds like everyone's got big plans. Maybe I better step up my plans...
Biggest modification I'm doing this spring I think is extending my diff breather.

Maybe a small lift too. :D

I've already started. Just installed 885 with 5100 and 2"AAL with 5100 on rear. Flushed transmission and changed both diff fluids and transfer case fluid. Put Amsoil in all. Now I need to get a carrier bearing drop cuz I got some driveline vibe. Might have to upgrade summer tires cuz they might look too small now.

Real men just call it camping
Hook the camping trailer to it, put kayaks in the bed, put a bunch of miles on the odometer, and repeat... And I guess I should wax it since it's been a little over a year now since last time. :anonymous:

    Hopefully, absolutely nothing!!

Actually, the truck is in need of a complete cleaning inside & out.

In the last couple months....We've been doing nothing but house hunting .....Upgrading this house to sell.... We finally found a house and close on April 30th.
In the beginning of May - the taco will be busting ass helping us move in!!!
After that...... it's unpacking, trip to Cozumel (end of May) and we can enjoy the summer stress free!!!

For the last 7 years, my taco has been parked outside. My Taco is very excited and looking forward to having his own garage space in the new house!!!!!! :D
