Working in the leafs, going to grab some food now. Broke off a stud so I'm going to go get that fixed Monday. Got the axle down and got the rear shackles off. Sprayed some wd40 on the main eye bolts to see if they loosen up when we get back. If not we're cutting them off. Then it's just a matter of going in reverse order. Shocks were a pain to get off!

That's why I bought all new parts haha I knew I was going to have to cut off stuff. I'm actually surprised that everything else has come off easy. The rear bushings look brand new after 132,000 miles!

    :annoyed:

Put the leaf springs on backwards...

I knew everything was going too well until we had to move the axle so far back! I had already cut the u-bolts, so tomorrow morning we're going to get a re-threading tool and get everything swapped around. 4 hours wasted! We would already be done and putting on the shocks if it wasn't for that.

After that I just lost all motivation and called it a night. 3 hours of sleep, power tools, and screwing up is not a good combo...

Yeah, that was interesting, especially near the gas tank haha
Yeah, a little bit of muscling around to get them off.
    Tell me about it! Haha
    This is all I've got.

The military wrap (wrapped up end of leafs) goes on the front and for some reason my dumb self put them on the back, causing the leafs to push the axle so far back that the driveline was a good 3"-4" apart....

The only way to tighten the u-bolts is to cut them off after you get the nuts as hand tight as you can. My deep socket wasn't anywhere near long enough.

The truck looks huge though, I can tell you that much. the bed of the truck is up to my shoulder haha

A bunch of dirt is what it is! haha

I'm happy though, it's been too long since I've been able to just get down and work on the truck.
