Damn Matt!!! How the eff is Andrew the only one who didn't break something?

As far as a "suicide" wheeling mission I agree, I'd like to wheel but I don't want to totally fuck Brutus up and break shit. If that's what everyone is worried about then ppl on the 4x4 list can join the backdoor penetration group. OR we could choose a new location and trail, I'll just throw out Broken Arrow in Sedona and then just find a nice free place to camp near by in N.F.

If we do broken arrow we could all camp at minds park and take the back way down to Sedona and do a different trail each day. Broken hour doesn't take long at all to do. We would pro want to break up into groups of 3

Alright alright.. I gotta call it before this gets out of hand and people start bailing.. We were just messing with you guys. The trail isn't horribly destructive on trucks, and our group didn't suffer massive casualties. The only damage on any of our rigs was Dan's blown rear resi Icon (not completely sure how that happened, we were doing less than 5mph at the time)

    And this photo:

Is not Matt's horribly busted CV shaft. I found this image on google images.

The four of us made a group decision to play a little trick on you guys :p

We have a shit ton of pics and video on the first 1/3-1/2 of the trail, and while there are some spots that haven't changed much, besides mild improvements, the first couple miles of the trail have been graded/bulldozed, which has eliminated those obstacles.

She actually was the worst casualty (not literally). She stayed in the bed of the truck for probably the first hour but she got super overheated and drank too much water too fast and puked up her breakfast in the back seat. Then she got motion sick as I was coming up carpet hill cuz its alot of rocking back and forth constantly for several minutes without pause. She puked again. Glad I got the leather seats and weathertecs so it just wipes right up. Other than that she did good. Really seemed to like being out there and hiking. She should be better once the rack and RTT are mounted cuz she'll be in the shade.

She was actually a big part of the reason it took us so long cuz we had to keep stopping till she felt better. I think I'll make a desert dog of her yet. Just gotta watch the motion sickness.

    :) :) :)
It was a fun day. I especially liked the fact that Dan let me spot him down Carpet Hill, even after I told him that I was new to spotting.
The biggest wheel lift was less than a foot, and was less than a second long.
I had a great day with some great guys(and Gal) and can't wait to do it again.
Besides a blown shock on Dans truck, the only other problem was my rear transfer case yoke had backed off and was leaking. And that was a case of poor maintenance on my part.
That was literally a 10 min repair.
I have never run Rug Road before and I found to be beautiful, breathtaking and exhilarating!
With the amount of trucks going, and with our start time, I honestly believe we will all make it to camp on time.
I have about three hours of go pro video to edit, and more that 2,000 pictures to sort through. And I know Andrew has about an hour of iPhone video and god knows how many photos. The the technical stuff past the rolled jeep to the first big wash has been well documented.
Sorry for the prank (even tho it was freeking awesome!)
Can't wait to meet the rest of you.

Thats not bad. And after carpet hill it is not as rough so it shouldn't be to bad on her. And just regulate the amount of water you give her and should be good. Kawi got motion sick allot so I just stopped feeding her before car rides and only gave a little water to regularly and well had whitney stop driving her and problem solved.
I agree its filled with awesome views. Glad you guys had fun and we shall see you out there in 3 weeks derek. Get the video up man!

Yea, she was ok on the way down carpet hill, it's just that going back up you have to stay in motion constantly because it's so steep and rocky and the truck just gets rocked back and forth relentlessly. Faith got motion sick at one point too but luckily Andrew and Kyla had some Dramamine. Thanks again for that u two.
