mehhh if you prep the crap out of it it can work. I painted over a chrome grille - soaked in bleach and then over cleaner, sanded, electric sanded, sanded more, adhesion promoter, primer, paint, sand, cry, sand again, final paint coat, clear

 

You just proved my point.

 

haha yeah, i hope it's durable. My paint job on my projector srounds came out like shit because of the chrome so I had to bleach soak and steel wool it. Not fun. Still doesnt look great but you cant tell the bad parts, they're hidden

 

Sounds like the process I went through to paint my grill emblem. After all those cleaners didn't work I just sandblasted the chrome off then used bondo to fill the pits.

hey question I hooked up my cb and got an swr meter and my reading is in the red not sure what could be wrong.

 

did you try and tune the antenna? and what channel are you on?

5'10" with a size 14 shoe?

I'm 6'5". Even with the lift, I don't normally need steps to get in. It's good for the wife and kids though. And good to climb back in while wheeling.

Either I am tired/retaded...or OTRATTW makes it difficult to understand what Im getting

 

I looked around their site before and I found it difficult to understand for the most part myself

 

those are the end pieces, so 2 of those for 2 switches thats all you need

if you have lets say 4 switches you need 2 end pieces and 2 middle pieces

a visual for you, this is the two end pieces

 

Fabs..So its not just me. lol

Thats where I plan to put my switches.


Is this tool needed?

 

only if you are going to pull the switches out of the trim pieces later on down the road

you might have to move a plastic piece next to the shifter to locate them there i just unbolted whatever it was and laid it in there out of the way

 

What is there something under the that trim peice?
