    Lift Kit, for now!
Awesome Ride, already looking forward to the next ride. Anyone have a sheet metal Brake capable of bending 3/16 plate? I am in desperate need of a front skid plate. If I can't drive over it I'll slide over it.

Relief cut, bend, weld... no need for a break.

You can build what you need with an angle grinder, drill and a welder :D

Great meeting you, the Zuk has potential. Hell there wasn't much that slowed you down. In fact, with a good spotter things you wouldn't have tried turned out to be fun and easy!

What do you guys think our ramp index was when we tested our flex on that metal ramp?

The formula for calculating RTI using a ramp as pictured above is
    r={\frac {d}{b}}\times 1000
Where b is the wheelbase of the vehicle, d is the distance traveled along a (usually 20 degree[1]) ramp before any wheels leave the ground and r is the calculated ramp travel index

I'm not that smart, cut and paste is my friend.

Do they always make the rungs on those ramps a foot apart?

So, Chris, are you going back to 16 inch wheels, and changing to steel now? :D

More tire sidewall (and wider tires) may have saved your wheels there. Hardrock and the pits are definitely hard on wheels though.

We're going to have to make that assumption. I'm on 33's and it looks like if you draw a line it's a little more than the diameter of my tire, 12 inch's a bar seems reasonable. Do you measure to the center line, or aft to the rear of the tire?

I'm going with the rear most portion of contact.

My wheel base is around 105 without measuring. So 72 inches traveled, divided by 105 X 1000 = 685 and some change.

    127 inch wheelbase on the access cab Tacoma 72 / 127 X 1000 = a 566 RTI score.

The surprising thing is, Oregon has much more rocks and bigger too. Never had a problem. Wider tires have been the plan for awhile. Gonna go with duratracs I think.

What is the benefit of smaller wheels?

There's more tire sidewall per the same height with smaller diameter wheels. That means more cushion around your wheels as well as more protection from the sides when aired down and the sidewall bows out. This can also translate to a smoother ride since the taller sidewalls won't be as stiff.

So because of my offset and backspacing plus my 1.25" wheel spacers, my RTI actually dropped to 535... That is also with aftermarket leafs and front suspension. And I take it you want a high RTI, right? Or do I have that backward?

I really really like the ProComp 7069 but the 16"ers won't fit over my TRD brakes... Unless... with the 1.25" spacers allow them to fit?????

But with the smaller wheel base, his RTI is actually better I think...
