Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

Yea I've seen plenty of people run the setup which is why I wasnt sure why mine wasnt working, then i figured out the ball joint assembly is for the FJ not the tacoma.

 

Would I need a carrier bearing drop bracket and spacer for a 4inch Lift? or would I only need those if I went with a 6"?

 

I was just going to say that...FJ and 4 runner are slightly larger than the taco....

 

The fj and 4runner is little smaller more tapered the tacoma ones are skinny and not as tapered.


Just call up light racing and tell them what happened they will send you the right ones this happened to me and common issue.

 

Well I got this email today. My girlfriend bought these for me and she got them off the Amazon warehouse and this is what they said.

OK ... Stupid Question here ....

Besides the obvious that the Maxtrax spindles are beefier than stock, what is the advantage to these vs. stock. Or is that it, they are beefier and likely not to break under extreme driving conditions?

 

4 inches of lift and maintain a stock ride.

With the MT's & 5100's @ 0 - FRONT

and

2" AAL - REAR

will I be sitting even or at least pretty close?

 

most likely will still be a little taller in the front.

selling my maxtrac 4'' spindles used them for a month like 800 miles, whats a decent price?

 

can someone suggest what leaf pack would offer a level ride.....Someone who possibly has a level ride with the maxtracs

That is my truck in the picture Though the only thing left from that kit on my truck are the spindles and leaf springs.

 

Ok how do you like the rear springs that was my biggest question I see alot of people running expos so I was a wondering how the dakars were

 

I do like them but will be changing them out soon. I currently have the

$82 D29xl Leaf Spring

D29xl extra leaf in mine and they work great and the load capacity is great and it gives me the lift that I want and performance off road is very good. But I need something different for what I really like to do and that is go fast in the desert and is why I will be going with the DMZ spring under kit. But for the average person the Dakars are great.
