Why do dealer installed lifts use spacers/blocks?

During my search for the right truck I couldn't help but notice the new Taco's in the showrooms lifted with Spacers and Blocks. If this type of lift is frowned upon (as apposed to coilovers etc.) why would the dealers have these installed and warrantied?

 

Probably because they're cheap and easy. Most of the lifted ones I've seen around here have RevTek spacer kits on them with blocks in the back and 33's and they mark up the price $5-$6 grand. One dealer had a ProComp stage 1 kit with 35's and they were charging an additional $8 grand.

 

Same thing out here! These trucks were marked up at least $8 grand with nice wheels and a cheap lift one truck had a 6" lift. I thought this lift was the worse kind to get???

 

Easy guys. I like my revtec so far. Good thing is u can buy a used one like that and the mark up is not bad any more. Thts what I did. 3 inch lift had 6000 miles full warranty!

 

Don't get me wrong I was in awe when I saw the trucks but just didn't understand the markup. Guess that's the stealership for ya! Right on for finding a warrantied Taco with all the goodies already on it. Anyway got me thinking that if Toyota has enough faith in spacer/block lifts why shouldn't I? As we speak I'm now looking into this option.
