Anybody know of anywhere I can get a fabricated shackle for my rear leafs that will add 2" of lift? I know they make plenty for 1st gens but can't find anything other than "custom" or "home made" shackles... I know ATO has the shackle flip but I was hoping to keep the stock length with my all pro pack and just get longer shackles, trying to eliminate the block on my rear...

How big of a block are you running?

You have an inverted shackle. It will not help without a shackle flip.

1.5" but it isn't tapered, switching this week to a 2" tapered... but longterm want to smooth out my ride

BTW was going to offer you the 1.5 if you wanted it, but you will probably need to get shims...

Yeah saw that earlier think the biggest is 1.5" so with the ATO flip adding an additional 3/4" should net at least 2"... right?

Did you gain any height, from the flip? Says online they add 3/4" in lift height, just curious...

My shackle flip added at least 1.5" with stock shackles. I know it says .75" lift but thats bullshit.

I picked up maybe an inch with my flip on stock shackles. Can't say for sure though since I didn't measure before and after.

A longer shackle will lower your truck unless you flip them. When you flip them there are several things to account for and its not simply adding lift.

Yeah the more I research it today the more it seems like a larger PITA than just ordering a set of custom Alcans... :notsure:

Most definitely. The shackle flip alone is a large, frustrating task.

Personally mine went really smooth. It is something I was planning on doing anyways so a kit made it better.

I just ordered 1.5" tapered blocks this morning. I don't need shims but i will need the longer ubolts.

    Wishing I had a Taco
so the best place to buy maxtrac spindles is TOYTEC!!!

so I bid on that auction, for $374, I didn't win, but they sent me a 2nd chance offer for $374, so i bought it. I did however tell my wife I wasn't buying them, back when I wasn't buying them, so hopefully she'll let me keep them......

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/331131609471?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

so for u guys wanta spindles, I'd recommend putting in a low bid on this next auction
