idk to be honest. Got em with 5k on them for $200!

3" taller than my 5100's and lots more travel.

When I get hoops I'll get longer shocks. For now, I have more flex than my truck can handle. Don't forget, I do rocks, not mobbing. I don't need 16" of travel

Broken Arrow is a one way directional trail. You can only go down the steps, this is spelled out very clearly on signs throughout the trail and in every guide book. Not a smart move Ben, this is how trails get closed to public use. You should know better than that.

I have had my fair share of run ins with the Pink Heeps, specifically a 30 minute stare down with a disgruntled employee at the entry to broken arrow when he would not move to allow myself and another vehicle to exit the trail, he was 20' from the beginning of the trail and we were 300' from the nearest place to let him pass, after a few phone calls he is no longer an employee there. As much as I hate them and their attitude towards other trucks on the trail they and the other tour/rental companies spent a lot of money and put in a lot of time to keep these trails open to vehicular traffic, its doing crap like this thats going to get these places shut down or closed.

Easy cliff, we got all turned around on the trail, never once saw a one way sign. They weren't too butthurt about it, but the guy was mad he had to back up. Honestly had no idea it was one way til you said that lol. Makes sense, but we don't have designated trails like that back home. Just thousands upon thousands of miles of open land. Call it my one tourist mistake :).

Honestly though, its way more fun to go up that :crapstorm:

    ^^^^ This was hilarious..

So I sent it to a few coworkers that i work with and one of them was on the phone and lives in CA.

He called the ad lol and tried to negotiate price.

The guy said he couldn't do that over the phone that he had to show up with cash in person for a good deal. He kept trying to get a price so the guy said 175. My friend said so.. you mean $17,500 and said that wasn't that much better. The guy said again he didn't want to talk about this over the phone because sometimes people will just talk about getting the car and not actually show up and pay (broken enlgish). My buddy said ok ok, hmm, that's a pretty good deal - so is that your girlfriend in the picture??

    .click. haha

Its your responsibility to check the "rules" of the trail before you embark. In every trail guide I have used, its clearly marked as "One "way".

Well your first post clearly says you wanted to run it backwards. So which is it, did you get turned around or did you intentionally run it backwards because your boasting sure makes it sound like the latter. The fact that you are from out of state and are laughing about it only infuriates me more. I have written letters to area polititians when keeping the trail open was in question a few years back, I helped clean that trail and donated to help keep it open and maintained. To see you do something like this is down right offensive.

We don't have the luxury of "thousands of miles of open land" and trails like this are few and far between especially in the strictly controlled city of Sedona. We see great areas closed all the time for reasons exactly like this. Be smart. TREAD LIGHTLY

Edit: I'll straight up say it too, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get "turned around" on Broken Arrow as there is literally no place to make a wrong turn. Once you start you're taking it all the way to chicken point which is your first place to turn around. You can bypass the Steps but the road leading to the Steps is marked to not enter, and as a one way with arrowed markers pointing you in the right direction. I am extremely disappointed that no one else besides Chris has stepped up and said anything here on the matter.

Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion (Cliff) on the matter in question

We turned around at chicken point because we were looking for the steps, so thats wgere we started to run backwards i guess. Didnt have a 'trail guide' either. We did want to go up them, but thats the direction we were headed when we found them so thats the way we hit them.

And I don't say we have thousands of miles to rub it in Cliff, I meant that to illustrate I've never had to look for signs off road before. I wasn't looking for them but can say in all honesty me, nor anyone in my party (some of whom live here) knew about the one way.

Moral of the story for me is, I should have dome some homework before venturing out here. Living in AK which is very 'wild and untamed' by your guys' standards set me up to be a bit jaded in this situation. I apologize for the mistake and will definitely pick up a trail guide from Sierra Expeditions tomorrow, I think that would be beneficial to study up on but also, its a brilliant idea for back home. I'm an advocate for LNT myself so the fact that I took part in something (even ignorantly) like this makes me uneasy. Just like so many others, we got caught up having fun, and didnt pay attention to he rules. And for that, Arizona BS 2.0 thread, I apologize.

I do agree with cliff on running the trail as it is marked. It sucks every year losing more and more area. I am not going to chime in on the areain question discussion because I have never been to Sedona and ran broken arrow. However when I make tail runs I have never been on I do a fair share of internet exploring to make sure things like this don't happen.

 Its a good idea to get a trail guide before you venture off road in another state, so as to familiarize yourself with the local trails, area, and rules. we have some beautiful trails out here, and it seems that land activists want to close them anytime someone gets out of their vehicle, and farts. Cliff and John work harder than most anyone I know at keeping trails open, clean, and making sure off roaders don't get a bad look to the public.

Fwiw we stopped and asked several folks at chicken point if we could make it up and not a single person said we werent allowed to do so. Had there been a SINGLE red flag I would have instructed the group not to go that way.

One guy thought the two seater razor might tip over but the rest of had four seaters so we should be fine.

Nah, you're passionate about it, thats good. Ignorance is not an excuse, unfortunately its all I have. Just didn't think to look, took for granted my own backyard and got caught in the moment.
