Does anyone have a "trigger pull gauge" nearby that I could borrow for 10 mins?
Hate to spend $70 on one or get charged $20 at the local gunsmiths.

    Gonna get it.. :p

Actually as long as you have a Short bed it'll fit. The cab length doesn't really matter.

    5ft bed is the key

I can deliver it if someone buys it, I'm planning on going back to sumter this weekend and can drop it off.

Boss, i like them a lot honestly. They are 2.0 not 2.5 and although the general consensus on here is to go 2.5 but for what I'm using my truck for(tow rig, mainly highway drive/pavement princess) the 2.0 fit my uses perfectly and it rides a lot better in the front and the rear foxes compliment the front as well.

I don't have the 2.5's but we can still use their coils on our 2.0 shock bodies so if we added more weight it'd be an easy fix. As far as adding preload, i heard you had to compress the spring first and then turn the ring to add lift, i haven't had a reason to do that yet but I'm thinking of doing it just to make sure i know what I'm doing. When the ARB gets in in August(ordering one then) i'll have to change coils to compensate for the future winch ill add as well so i'll add preload as needed at that point.

All in all, Im satisfied with them.

Eh, thats ok. Guess i'll just order a lyman.
Was going to buy a "neu-trigger" for my steyr aug. Apparently it has a 10 lb trigger on it according to some websites. I sure as hell don't feel 10 lbs.
So the neu-trigger is supposed to take it down to 5-7 lbs and have a crisper break.

Do you know how many turns it takes to get it up to 2.5 or even maybe 3 inches? It's my first experience with coilovers. I know the ride will be rougher the more a crank it up or can I replace the spring with a higher rate to get it taller? I'm stuffing 285s so I'd like to get a good bit of lift out of these

If you crank it all the way.. it's gonna ride like shit.

I wouldn't suggest a higher rate spring unless you've got the weight up front to compensate for that.

    Im unsure of the turns.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
wired in a 4-flat for the shell lighting, installed a new license plate light, and my new cb antenna mount from under the shell this weekend. ordered a new lock and new 3rd brake light for the shell. now i have to get a new coax w/ the 90* connector too.

eddie...i may need your plasma cutting services. i need to chop the rails off my toolbox on both sides. i started to do it w/ an angle grinder, but it was WAY too loud to do in the neighborhood.
