Just buy a seat-belt extender and plug that in. Works on all year models.

I recently bought the Ultraguage (group buy) and had it in my truck

My popnlaw has a 2002 ford taurus and his CEL came on and I drove over to his house and took it out of my truck and found the code for him (P0401) and turned off the CEL and reinstalled it in my truck

You can just have the Ultraguage in your glovebox and plug it in to whatever vehicle to check the code and turn off the CEL

has anyone bought a techstream or used a OBD2 scanner to change the settings on a 2014? I'm interested in changing door lock settings, seatbelt chime, and other stuff.

Sounds like the ultra gauge just plugs in and operates like a code scanner, which may be nice. The wife's 4 runner already has a mileage indicator but the Tacoma I have doesn't. It has the touch screen for the radio but no indicators for fuel mileage etc. It's a 13 4x4 double cab long bed with a towing package. I have a camper with a dry weight of 3700 lbs but haven't tried to tow it yet. I have a 99 super duty f250 I've kept around for towing

Here is where mine is mounted with 3M removable Velcro strips ... I've moved it 3 times so far LOL

The cable is routed through the area where the emergency brake handle would be if it was a manual 6 speed ... mine is automatic with the foot pedal

I can remove it in about 60 seconds ... Check and erase codes on another car... And reinstall and it keeps all the prior settings for my truck. Pretty cool

I know it does this because I already have done it

That looks pretty nice, like I said the wife's car already has the mpg info etc. It looks like the only place to buy oneof these is from the ultra gauge site

You would be correct. The only difference I can tell between the UG and ScanGauge is the ScanGauge will also give you EGT where the UG won't. Not that big of a deal since I don't tow anything but it would be nice to have.

UG will send you a $9 discount voucher also. I never turned mine in.

I have a 2014 Tacoma and am interested in learning more about how to use the tech stream to turning off the door chime (I will take the risk of locking keys in and all that) and check other codes. Are there recommendations on a device or software? Are they easy to use?

    Thanks,
