I have done the magic roundabout a few times, I lived near there for a while. It truly is a masterpiece in roadplanning stupidity! Why they didn't put in one large diameter roundabout is beyond me.

 

problem solved for me.....i'd never go there. who the hell comes up with that crap anyway?

 

this thing scares the hell out of me.

 

As a general rule of thumb, roundabouts are a much better idea than stop signs/traffic lights. More often than not you don't have to stop, and if you're out having fun, they're great fun to get the back end sliding.

But put five mini-roundabouts around one big one, and you've got a fast track to fender-benderville!

 

WE have a few here and they are not bad, but like you said that many all together in one large cluster of an idea is what bothers me.

 

I'm lost just looking at it.

 

The best part is how the interior rotates counter-clockwise and the exterior rotates clockwise.

How novel.

If only they'd found a way to make it a two-tier/double decker type item as well.
