front and center. i look at it all of the time (since my rear window is useless).

i don't know. since he's on 33s, he's not at risk of catching a tire on the bumper, so if he does plan on cutting it back to match the fenders, i'm sure it's low on the to-do list.

Like Colin said, the 33's and the bumper get along just fine. There are also a ton of things on the list before I start cutting up a perfectly good bumper, although we did drill a few holes in it this weekend. :)

The paints drying as I type. We'll see if they're set enough in the morning to bolt on before work.

monitor and cameras come on when I turn the truck on, and then I have a switch under the steering column to toggle between cameras.

something to keep in mind if doing this yourself, is to make sure you have a quick and easy means of switching the camera display orientation. if you have two identical cameras, one facing forward, and one facing back, when you switch between the two, one will be a mirrored image of what it should be. the monitor I have has a mirror button right on it. if you were to get a monitor without the mirror button, you'd have to go into the menu settings and switch it like that every time you wanted to go between the cameras. and that becomes a big pain in the butt if you are spotting yourself, and switching between cameras every few seconds.

:woot: can't wait to see it all purdied up!

Well I'm prob only going to do a single rear camera. So I can see when I'm backin up. Since my rear window is tinted and my shell window are tinted too. Plus I do tow a 12foot boat to duck hunt and I can't see it when I'm pulling it. But, I dont want the camera on all the time, so I'll prob run it off a switch so I can just hit that and the screen and camera turn on.
    A switch like this

I have one of these connected to my stereo and it will detect when I am in reverse and kick on then. Otherwise it is off.

Nathan, you have any head on shots with both sides in frame? I bet that's an intimidating sight to see in the rear view.

How's this? I think I've figured out that I need something on the roof to really set the truck off.

    I have an idea :drevil:

gonna take me a little bit to draw it up, and you'll need another couple of sticks, but man would it be "setting it off". you shouldn't get my imagination going like this so early in the morning.....gonna pop my brain.

I'd love to see what you have in mind, but don't go sploding that brain of yours.

I have my own ideas using 80/20 extruded shapes and some side plates similar to the this...

I'm not a fan of putting the rails on spacers like this guy has done. I'd rather have the feet sit right on the rubber molding. I will also bring the front further out so it will hold a 40" LED bar.

I'm planning on using one of these two profiles for the cross bars.

dirtectly on the rubber molding is the way to go. that's how i've built every roof rack thus far. and as i mentioned on sunday, if it takes chunks of concrete out of parking structures with no damage to the vehicle, it's likely a successful design.

I need a tubing roller before I will start my exo. To hard to follow the roof line otherwise.
