Weathertechs (the only great option?)

Time to get something and wanted to know if they were really worth the extra $100? I have searched the forums and see pretty good thoughts on the matter, but I have not seen the best counter options to them. I almost bought the Toyota default ones, but the coverage in the back seat hump made me hold off until I asked the folks on Taco World.

Whats ur 2 cents on other options. Would you buy them again for those that already own them?

    Thanks much,
    Blind

I know that the Husky liners get a good review on here, for less money.

That being said, my Weathertechs are probably my single most useful mod that I've done to my truck. Amazed at how quality of a product they are. I will be buying them for all of my family's vehicles in the future.

I bought the Toyota mats and they SUCK. Absolute waste of money. My truck has less than 20k miles and the mats are already wearing through. Husky, WeatherTech or 3D will be my next choice. Probably Husky.

I've bought them for the last 4 vehicle I've owned. That should tell you something about their quality and fit.

Husky makes some great products and they're a little cheaper. I had a set in my Tacoma for over 6 years and they held up great. I bought another set of Huskys for the new truck also and am very impressed so far.

I had the Huksky's in my 4runner when I had it. The edges started to furl up which was rather annoying bc anyone getting into the truck that wasnt paying attention, invariably made it worse. So now with the Tacoma, I said eff it and bought the Weathertechs......wow. They are so worth the money. The build is awesome and they are just high quality. They also fit like a dream. If they didnt say Weathertech down the side (which in my opinion is the only downside to them) you would never know they are there or werent factory options.

I know exactly what you're talking about with the Huskys. I didn't have that problem but can see how it would happen. Husky now makes 3 different lines of mats, two of the upper end ones look and fit just like Weathertechs and there's no chance of catching your foot on the edge. One thing I didn't like about weathertech is they punch a hole in the mats for the floor hooks. Husky just forms their mat over the hook. Seems silly to punch a hole in an all weather mat.

I just got my weathertechs about a month ago. And the fit is awesome. I love them. in my mind worth the extra money. I will buy them for future vehicles and my wifes truck aswell.

Weathertechs fit great ... Had the Toyota rubber mats before and they didn't last long against work boots

I've had my WT's for 3 yrs now, and they were one of the very first things I bought for my truck. Since then, I've bought them for 3 other vehicles for friends and family... absolutely the best IMO.

There are a few small quirks about them that I wish were different, but nothing make or break about them. Will buy them for the next vehicle as well.

No problems thus far with the Huskys. They do the job and look OEM.

3D Maxpider mats. Bought them for my taco and they've been great! They don't have the same rubber look as the weathertech's, more textured but still contain the mess. They use both the clips and velcro to keep them from moving around.

I bought the rubber Toyota ones when I picked up my Truck, because I liked the ones for the first gen. But the second gen all weather mats from Toyota absolutely suck. They don't cover enough and aren't deep enough.

Bought the WeatherTechs because of everyone here, and have now decided I will get them for every car from now on. They are great, and I like that they are made here.

I love that there are no holes. My wife's entire coffee spilled in my truck on the husky liners. The mats held all the coffee in because there are no holes.

You can also get the Cabelas version of the weathertechs for cheaper. They are identical.

    What haven’t I changed?
I got the Weathertechs in a group buy a few years ago and I love them. Fit is great, I haven't run into any wear issues, and they can hold a lot of grime and liquid. I have a double cab and the rear mat is one piece from door to door and has a raised lip on the front and back edges, which is great. I do wish that the driver mat had more coverage for the dead pedal though, and if you have a manual transmission then you will need to trim the driver mat some in order to keep the clutch pedal from binding on the mat.

+1 for the cabelas, mine came in a weathertech box with the weathertech logos on them and a few cabelas stickers thrown in to put over the weathertech ones if you wanted to. (I didn't)

It's a Toyota option, I think they call it the HD flooring option. Search vinyl and you'll come up with a couple threads of people who have done the swap. I think the material is like $300 or something like that.
