    It has happened.....

Yes, I just collected a new f...ing scratch/ding, me and the wife were shopping groceries, came out, got into the truck didn't noticed anything until we arrived home, obviously the a-hole who did it didnt left a name, note or even a "yes, I fucked up your truck hahaha" Im so pissed....

I dont think the scratch went more than the clear coat, but there is a ding, dong, dung, dang or whatever, i might buff it out but I think my nail catches it.... if i take it to a repair center, the a-holes will want to paint my whole door with unmatched paint, opinions???

Understand completely, but it will happen and that is one of the things that makes it a truck. Being rugged! I know its upsetting.

Yeah someone hit and ran me a couple weeks ago. Scuffed the bumper all up. Cant just touch it up too big of an area. needs to be wet sanded and repainted. Then I hit a duck so I bought a grillecraft replacement to fix that. I am going to attempt to fix the hit and run sooner or later.

Was at a friends house and her mom came inside and said she needed me to move my truck so she could get outta the driveway. Small driveway with me diagonal to her on the right side and a tree on the left.. Her mirror hit and dragged along my bedside near the TRD decal. Didnt see it till the next day. Oh well.

Adds character I guess. Also got dents on my roof and hood... not sure how those happened.

wel if your finger nail catches it...its not gonna buff out completley...find some 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sand the spot lightly (not too much) try to just sand enough to make it even then take and buff it out with some buffing compoutn the finish it up with polishing compound...then wax...see what that will do for you. If that doesnt work use touch up paint to fill in the scratch until its higher then the paint above it...then wet sand with 2000 grit until even with factory paint and then buff...i honestly would just do the touch up route to begin with...

Yeah a lot of people don't care for other peoples shit. I caught a guy bumping my door with his, and he blamed it on his kids. Worse is when you park in BFE away from everyone and theres 5 empty space to your left and to your right, some fucks still decide to park next to you. they have something at someplaces for a touch up cant think of it at the moment.

edit: Give the duplicolor Touch up thing a try.

Dealership quoted me around $90, they would paint lower half of the door, still dont know, Ford's body shop has a PDR guy, they wont open until 3pm, so im looking at two possible solutions

    1. PDR the dent, then add some touch-up paint which im estimating for around $130 or

    2. Paint the lower half of the door for $90

    both options are riskie
