    Yes. haha. Her Dad has a farm and she worked on it growing up and took out a loan in middle school to start her own herd which she still has today with her own brand and all. She splits her profits 50/50 with her Dad because he basically covers all of the feed and meds and what not because they are just mixed in with his cattle. Which is no big deal for him because what's another 10 head when you already have over 100.

    Fuck that is a screaming deal I think! Those FJ cases are about $800 new plus there is a trans and motor there. My only question is why did it need a new water pump with only 42,000 miles on it... and it probably needs a lot of cleaning up and such after sitting for how ever many years it has been sitting now...

    That and I only have 27,000 miles on my rig right now so I don't need a spare for atleast 200,000 more. haha Nor do I currently have the funds for one...

    Would be sweet if I could afford to buy that and send the trans to IPT to be built up and the motor to Darton or somebody to be bored and stroked to a 4.6L and then pick up some boost for it:drool:

    What upgrade is that? Haha basically the same motor and trans I have and I wouldn't call an FJ case an upgrade. It's just twin stickable. Unless mine dies I maybe just single stick mine and leave it be.

    I couldn't have afforded to have the motor built. Tor is well over $10K into his and I'm not $10K into my new low rider mods.

    I doubt it is much stronger though. Not worth $800 stronger unless you really want that twin sticks (which I don't find all that useful).

    A few guys are still running there Taco cases on SAC'd rigs just fine.

    I don't see the point in spending the money unless mine fails and I doubt it will since I won't ever be on antlything larger than 37's.

    most the sas'd second gens upgrade to the FJ case maybe you should ask them about it.. either way it's a screaming deal and you mentioned you wanted a spare motor.

    lol. I dont think the first gen Tcase is tronger than the FJ case.

    Yeah most have but I think they did it just for the allure of having triple sticks. NWItaco is still running his Taco case.

    I haven't heard of anyone killing a Taco case that I recall, besides the actuator of course and if that happens you can just single stick the Taco case.


    No idea on how it compares strength wise, but it would kind of be a downgrade for a 2nd gen due to being higher geared. Would be like you swapping out your 4.10's for 3.73's...

    I don't think so. RockSolidToys may have one, but I think the few I know of were homemade setups.

    I can't remember who I saw do it. Pretty sure I have seen at least 2 though, not counting yours. I didn't know you did.

    I just looked at NWItaco's build and he was just going to stick with his Taco case with the electric switch on the dash and then came across an FJ case and decided to go the Twin stick route.

    I give up... I can't find the threads with them in it.

    After reading through a lot of Wyatt's posts on the cases just now, I didn't see him post anything about strength being one of the benefits of going to an FJ case (though I may have missed it). It was always about reliability of a manual shift over the electronic actuators and the advantages of twin sticks over a single shift.

    From the rest of that thread, I think the Tacoma case uses the same planetary gears and main shaft as the FJ case; it just has a single rail setup while the FJ case has two rails.
