Someone help me diagnose my commuter car: 1995 Nissan 200SX, 5-speed manual, 158k miles.

When I turn on the AC, the RPMs lower and then eventually dies. I have to rev the engine to keep the RPMs up while I drive, even after I turn the AC off. Then maybe after a little while of not using the AC, the car goes back to normal.

    Ideas?

Think of all the big wig designers and the meetings and lunches and stuff.

The real cost was probably closer to $100k than $400k if you exclude all the fluff(er) costs.

I would clean throttle body and see if that helps. Low idle load from ac causing engine to go off is either air or spark. Fuel injection should keep up. Does ac on cause noise from ac compressor or pulley?

I'm working in my Campbell office tomorrow and just seeing if anyone is interested in either a set of 2nd gen Off Road wheels $125(One has a good scrape, but the other 4 are pretty clean ) or 17" Tundra wheels that have minor nicks and scrapes $250. I'm only bringing them if I have a buyer, but will be in Campbell from 9-5 tomorrow.

if it dips on idle or dies after startup with AC on do a throttle body cleaning and clean any MAF or IACV if equipped, as it is dying under light load.

You made it to the promiseland... sorry for getting you started on RRBC, lol!

    But I'm NOT sorry.

You gotta do Lagunitas Tap Room too, its only a 10 minute drive from there. And there is one very hard to find beer I will let you guys in on. It's Bear Republic Monkey High Five Double Black IPA... It is a limited run like PTY, but it is like Newcastle meets Guinness, and Cinnabon. It should be a desert beer it is so good. It's harder to find than Pliny the Younger. You have to ask for it as it is done in limited runs as a special batch by the brewer. Last time I found it I had 6 or 7 tall glasses. Its an American Black Ale brewed belgian style, is spicy, sweet, and addicting.

I am always asking when I go there or to limited distribution spots. Taps in Petaluma has gotten it a couple times. There are underground brew clubs. I went to this dudes house and he had his whole granny unit as a beer lab, and he was amazed I nailed 4 beers in blind test :)

I love sonoma county. I need to open my own brewery

    Amen to that.

Did u hear Lagunitas just bought the spot in petaluma where Tres Hombres used to be? Can't wait to see what goes in there!

Bought a supercharger so the wheels have to go to help pay for it. I'm going to run stock size till I can afford 33's again.

Yeah it makes having street tires that much more bearable. I should be able to get enough together for some cheap tires soon enough. It's definitetly a lot cheaper to supercharge the 3.4 than the 4.0, at least for the initial sc cost.
