At the time (i.e. years ago) the 884s were said to be o.k. for DC/LB/Pre and 885s would be a little longer and good for DC 4x4 or if you would be getting a bumper.

At the point of getting the 13mm spacer, I did think about just getting some 885s and swapping out the 884s (would have probably given me right about the same lift), but the spacer addition was cheaper than going with new springs..

None the less, if over time the 885s sag, you end up with a bumper/armor, or just need a smooch more, then you can throw in the 10mm spacer (for an added .8").

Not 100% sure, I don't think you can, but if your tires stick out, you gott have flares

and you had your welded sliders right???

 

They guy said you can, as long as its aligns good with them on and if it sticks out you gotta run flares.

Yeah, they are the Bamf sliders welded on.
I think if I went there with my Konig 17x8s and Mtzs, the guy would of passed me. Those tires stick out maybe 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch. The guy said they have appointments backed up to May lol. Now I gotta just loctite this safety/recon plate so noone steal um.

 

Were you able to get a discount on the set as well? Looking at making the same order but if you don't mind, how much did you pay altogether?

 

$100 for 1in wheel spacers or $129 for 2in. Which should I get

 

make sure you do your research before going to 4wp Expo last year i thought i was getting a good deal on some 5100 for my tundra turns out i paid regular online 4wp prices!!! lets just say after throwing a fit with the management on the mainland they gave me 30% off. but it wasnt right to advertise special dealer pricing yet the produces they offer could be regular sale prices you can get everyday if you just went into the store or online.

 

anyone going order anything from Underdog Racing anytime soon? i need to order something but i really hate to spend 40 bucks on shipping on a item that only weights less than a pound.

 

I'd go 1". 2" might give you rubbing issues. I've got 1.25" on my rear.

 

Can't really shop around for the best deal at truck fest. It's not a bunch of vendors selling their own products, it's put on by 4wp and everything is sold through them. The vendors are really just there to show stuff off and answer any questions.

 

I got my full heavy duty OME suspenshion with 886 and dakars for $900 at truck fest last year. Best 900 I have ever spent on the truck!

 

i found sierra expeditions to have the best deals on Light Racing upper control arms. for my Tundra i was able to get them for around 380 shipped to hawaii. They drop shipped from SPC ( the makers of LR).

Brandon, I have a set of new 1/4 lift spacers I will give you for free if you want them.

 

I'd go 1" I have 1.25" and they rub on full lock, and I'm lifted a little!

 

I have 1in spacers in the front and never want to take the coilovers out until I get a full lift. The stock uca was a pain.

Yeah, but Phil's truck has so much altitude he gets nose bleeds on his way to work.. And he still rubs a little with the 35's

 

With everything in my previous post,I also opted for them to assemble the front coils and shocks for me (extra 100-120) the 10mm top plate spacers as well as the longer studs to mount them up and the greaseable shackles (173) i paid 2150 with the shipping included. Every bushing,bolt or whatever could be upgraded was at that time because the truck is a 2oo4 First Gen. I figured do it all at once and pau. I would do ALL your research beforehand,
checkout truck fest and see what they can do but if is heavy in weight, it is hard to beat 4WP on the shipping.

 

Depends on what wheels and tires you go with. With idea tires on stock wheels you want to move them away from rubbing the control arm, but if you push it out too far, you get more rubbing when you turn. Hits the front plastics and pinch weld/ mud flap area. Measure the space between the tire and the upper control arm, to see how much of a wheel spacer you need.

 

8% is what they tack on to every hawaii order. It can be in stock on the showroom floor and it will be 8% above online prices. And it's like that all year long, so there's no truck fest deal on shipping.

 

I did all the homework I could when searching for powered steps for my truck. When I was at truck fest they were quoting me $1200 for them. I waited and ordered them on-line from 4wp for $1060. So...it pays to have info before going in.

 

Thanks for the heads up. However, I'm having a hard time finding the OME kits on their website. I guess I'll try to find the cheapest I can get online and use that as the base price.
