Whats the lower spring rate? Curious if it was too stiff before and where the dual rate stop is set at.

Lower is 300#/in. I only wanted to change one set of springs (cost reasons) so to get my new combined rate this is what I needed. It may end up being a little soft, but I will set the dual rate stops to control that if necessary.

Haven't had it out yet to set the stops, for now they are run up almost all the way, just to stop the upper spring from blocking out.

Hoping tonight. Got nailed with another round of snow on Monday, and did some volunteer work for a needy family all night yesterday so hopefully tonight's the night!

Huge difference. Didn't seem like it was that much when it was parked in the garage. Curious to see how the suspension does now. You gonna get bumps?

Already got bumps, lol. They are just sitting on the shelf still. I have a set of Fox 2.0x4" and a new set of cans, and a set of poly bumps :D

    Time...time is what I need.

I did start another project on the truck this weekend...project no more leaky beadlocks.

Broke 2 rims down, installed a full circle anti-cone ring, now just waiting on some 90° valve stems. Then they are going back together with bead sealant as well. Should take care of any issues

Ha, I know we talked about bump placement but I'm drawing a blank about the rest. Do you know of any good threads on pirate, etc. in regards to bumps? I can't seem to find much info. Most threads are more like a review or which mfg has the cheapest.

Trying to find what makes a bump good/bad/better, how much travel they should have, etc. There seems to be some talk about using them as an additional means of tuning/modifying suspension performance, but again... little info.

Does it come down to 'pick a color' like a lot of coilovers?

Pick a color. Stroke length depend on how much you want it in play, different for crawling or go fast stuff.

They are valved like coilovers and valving can be changed. Also the stiffness can be varied based on the pressure they are charged to.

Well, I don't know why (as far as usefulness), but I picked this up over the weekend...

Got a deal on it. I will need to completely remake the shifters, but no biggee. Its not like the console was finished up already or anything...oh yeah its was

Guess I can chop it up again...

@mudthedoor how is your post helpful in any way shape or form? If its to alert people that there are now tube doors available 4x just started making those a few months ago.. Mark build those tube doors years ago.

Popping into a thread to add a comment like that is disrespectful.

When that post was typed they were :D

And yeah, as you can see from the photo mine were from 2009 :D

Imitation is always the highest form of flattery ;)

Doesn't bother me, Adam's kinda a d-bag and I will never order from him again. I ordered my sliders from him and he asked for a $70 rush fee and blew the date he promised them, and then refused to refund my rush fee. He makes a great product, but lacks any sort of resemblance of good customer service. Definitely a company where the buyer should beware. That being said, I have sent several people to him for his sliders after they asked me to make some. I simply cannot make them for what he charges. He definitely does some things right.

I was sad to see it when Kevin sold Armortech to 4x, so many other vendors would have been a better match, and would have continued the great customer service Kevin had.

On another note...you should hop in the Chicagoland bs thread, and join up with us for some runs. We have another guy in WI 45acp who is mid sas right now, but he is a regular amongst us as well!
