    Hello everyone,

I will reach 25 000 miles soon so I have to change my air filter. I saw on trdparts4u.com some TRD air filter reusable but they have 2 different one at the same price and so I'm wondering which one will suit mine?

Do you know the difference between them?

My engine compartment is all original...

By the way I will order a locking gas cap but hesitate between a "non threaded" and a "threaded" one

    P/S : My Tacoma is a 2008 TRD sport 4X4 Access cab 4.0 V6 with automatic transmission

You want the first one... PTR43-00070. The other is for air filter for the TRD CAI.

The gas cap deal is easy, does you current cap have threads or the "lugs" on the sides where you only give it a half turn.

4 years old and only 25k miles, very nice.

weigh out the cost...... how much is it?

how often have u replaced the OEM filter?

how much is the OEM filter?

have u asked for a "good guy discount", or a "quantity discount"?

sometimes this works.... I know I can buy oem air and oil filters (new gaskets with oil filters free), at the dealership for LESS than I would pay at napa, kragen, or autozone.......

I have called around and checked with all those places, so its a fact here atleast.

Same goes for the cabin air filter...... frams at walmart cost more than I pay at the dealership.

Quantity discounts can start as little as 3 items, so I am not saying u need to buy a case of ANY items....... but, cases of oil filters are cheaper than u would think when u break them down to cost per item vs any other filter. Besides, I know id rather run oem filters than aftermarket....especially when I was under warranty

    Yup.

Stock filter is like $16 every 25-35k.
