In regards to these Nitro u-joints, from what I understand this is Longfield's old design. The current u-joint is cross-drilled and has one zerk while the Nitros have 1 zerk for each cap.

Any reason I couldn't cross-drill these and tap a hole for a single zerk??

    Soon...
Yeah. I'm just saying that it doesn't have to take forever just to clean up the frame. I didn't see the need to rebuild the front half of my frame either.

When you're building for a low frame height, big tires and 5"+ of vertical travel, you need to build a new frame or cut the shit out of the stock frame.

5" or 15" of travel? 5" seems pretty low... Factory IFS will pull over 5" stock...

Just the norm skids, sliders, & 35's
Vertical travel = up travel ie. the amount of travel you have from ride height to the bumps.

Got ya. I thought that might be the case but usually when I think vertical I think both up and down...

I would be happy with a 20" frame height right now. Haha

Hell your 44's will give you like 15" under your diff. Haha

I kept my stock frame, have 4.5" uptravel, and a 21.5" frame height. Its possible without building a new frame. Of course this is on a second gen...

Body lift? Not that it has anything to do with keeping the stock frame but might help more with tire clearance.

I do like my smaller first gen though once im on full size axles the wheels will sit about the same width and ill still fit in tight spots better :p
