What is this?

theres this little prob like 4x2 black box under the dash by the firewall hole and it says "pursuit" on it and a little black wire thats hanging thats not connected to anything. just wondering if anyone knows what this is? something for security or that the dealer uses or something?

 

Pursuit is an alarm manufacturer. The little black wire that isn't connected is an antenna.

 

im wondering more " what these cut wires are, you buy your truck used op?
maybe the previous owner did that TRAC mod

Could and probably most likely is an AudioVox Pursuit alarm system. Maybe with the wires clipped to disable a starter kill or something.

 

i bought it from an old guy with only 18000 who bought it straight from the dealer so i doubt he did any mods, cuz everything was still stock, but maybe?? no one else has this?

ya its that exact one with that sensor too. cudnt find it on google. i wonder if i can get another keyless entry key cuz i lost mine ha or remote start??

 

I googled audiovox pursuit alarm and there was a place that sold the remotes. Either the first or second result.
