Man, honestly at this point, I'm just glad it is over. We found another fuck up with the rack during assembly. They didn't drill the holes for the bed tie down track on center with the track. Look like someone marked the top and whoever drilled them took it as the center line. Luckily brent and randy fixed it up.

The rack is obviously high. I get it, the tent is going to sit way the fuck up there and to be honest I don't give a fuck. I want to be able to use the annex room and awnings without having to duck or smacking my head so that's where the damn thing is staying. My toolbox will fit in the bed along with the cheap Whynter fridge I ordered this morning.

I'll slowly start on armor now. Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, and Sliders before the end of the year.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
I guess you can't cut the legs and make it shorter...? Probably would line up.

W/e, just don't fall out of your tent.

We could have, but then I'd have the issue of smacking my head on the RTT when deployed and not being able to stand up in the annex.

This isn't a rock crawling rig. This is aimed at being a more capable family friendly Overland rig with camping and relaxing as the main goals.

What's the minimum height for the annex? I keep finding myself in the GB thread.... I like the Mt Shasta.

    For me? about 6'2 inches

Not sure what the minimum height is overall.

If you change your mind on chopping it, it's a 9/5 ratio. 9 inches down is 5 inches wider. Also, what orientation are you going on the tent?! I'm thinking of rotating mine like Ryan's to decrease the wind resistance a tad

Either driver side or rear would be my recommendations

Only reason mine is to the rear is because it's the only way it would fit with the tool box I have

How does it handle the swing out? There are several benefits to rear opening.

    1) it would be easier to gauge what's level from the drivers seat
    2) annex would open to the tailgate instead of the bed side.
    3) ladder would be with the centerline of the truck instead of bisecting the bed.
    4) longer foot print as opposed to L shaped camping foot print.
    5) can access roof for storage easier.

My concerns are few, like the guide rods on the cab side due to height and is the RTT will stick out beyond can width enough to look funky

I'm not chopping it, but it is opening to the drivers side.

I have a 4 foot ARB awning to go on the rear of the rack, and am having a buddy bend and notch a tube for me for another 6.5 foot ARB awning on the passenger side.

Got up at 5 this morning and got all my light mounts on the bed figured out and marked.

Going to put 2 on the rear corners facing out and towards the cab to light up the sides and then 2 on the rear bar recessed and facing towards the rear.

Now I just need some relays.

Your wiring in-cab switches for those lights? If not, you could get away without relays depending on the switch.

With the swing arm, it has to be open when tent is opened up

I was looking at that. My only concern there was that I don't have a way to lock it open.

I thought the full length Brute Force swing arms came with a lock

Billy is trying to add a air strut/spring to my shorty to hold er' open. I told him I needed some sort of "open" lock. That's a serious downfall if your not on exactly level ground, swing arm will eat the tailgate alive.
